    I also love my Multiclock. I especially like it for live jams with my old Roland gear. The ability to turn individual channels on and off, and quantized to the next bar is great fun! I also set up the play/stop keys as a remote control (USB MIDI) for my DAW when I’m not running DAW-less.
    You talked about tips and tricks from Sebastien, but I didn’t catch them… maybe in another video?

    that "mime" special guest appearance (and dismissal) was beyond hilarious! 🤣🤣🤣

    I just used mine for the first time last night dawless. Benefit 1 was stopping one instrument and playing in time meticulously. I even tried speeding it up and slowing it down and it worked a treat. The only issue is that it only has four channels. Wish it had more. Oh I was powering it up using a truetone cs12 and it worked. It’s great quality. Super easy! Haven’t tried the daw version properly yet. Thanks for the video❤

    I have an Expert Sleepers lightpipe to MIDI/Sync interface that works pretty much the same way (Audio from DAW to sample accurate MIDI/CV/Gate), is just Eurorack and you can have as many MIDI Outs or Gates as you want.
    But if you don't have a lightpipe interface or Eurorack, the Multiclock is a must have if you have more than one synth or drum machine and are experiencing jitter or lag.

    this seems like a very useful product - if you're using a midi interface like the MioXL, would this device work as intended if you place it between the DAW and the interface? the midi interface wouldn't add latency would it?

  • @dodgingrain3695
    @dodgingrain3695 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I had a multi-clock and did some testing. There was no difference in midi timing between the multi-clock and an iConnectivity Mio10. There was pretty much the same amount of variation when recording midi devices audio outputs.

      Does MIO10 send midi clock?

    • @AdamsOlympia
      @AdamsOlympia 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@shawnsaul7759 Like my iConnect Midi 4+, the Mio is just a low latency midi router. It doesn't generate it's own clock - but the latency might be low enough that you don't need it. I haven't tested it with much vintage gear though.

    I appreciate another multiclock video, but to much explaining of the basic sync, wish there was a quick video with all main uses and how to setup the midi inside multiclock. Like, what is the midi in for? I mean...how do I get a signal once I plug a midi keyboard in?

    Maybe you could ask the creator if there is something in the works like a Maxforlive-device that would work on the Push 3 Standalone?

      Great idea! I asked Ableton to send me a Push3 for testing. But until now, there was no response... 😟

    will this fix the delay from a midi notes in my daw that triggers the sounds in my outboard synth? when i record the audio from my synth that is triggered by midi from my daw, the audio arrives several milliseconds later. I have adjusted my audio recording offset which works when i record mysel playing live but when it is sequenced midi notes from the daw, there is a persistent delay that wont go away.

I learn so much from your content and so much fun. Danke schön wie immer und beste Grüsse aus Istanbul!👏🏻👏🏻👋🏼👋🏼🧿

      It's not made in China or in any other outsourced territory. Then it's mostly handcrafted here in Berlin, because of the small quantities produced. And Sebastian also has to pay his rent! That's why! 😉

    Hey people! My multiclock does weird shift like -7 then +7 bpm once in a 16 bar , if I use it via usb . If E RM is master everything is perfect. I thought the ableton is the reason for that, coz it’s shifts constantly but in the range of 1 bpm usually. Is anybody had the same problem?
    Btw thank you for the video guys. Good good stuff!

    • @winesynths

      This is why it uses audio for sync! Just use it as it is intended and everything will be fine! 🍀

    Please stop saying "nice" from the side camera shots. It automatically reminds me of The Fast Show TV series Jazz Club comedy sketches.
    I'm only joking, it's really not an actual criticism, I just couldn't stop laughing when you did it and I had to pause the video. The sketches are on TH-cam if you've no idea what I'm talking about. Unless, you do know and you're paying homage to them?
    Thanks for the video, I'm constantly fighting MIDI hell with my mixture of modern and vintage hardware and I'm thinking the multiclock might be the only legitimate solution I've yet to try.

    I'm assuming this is mostly for syncing different sequencers together rather than simply sending notes to an external synth/drum? Also, cool that the designer lives nearby! When is Uli coming over for a visit?

    • @winesynths
      @winesynths  ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely! It‘s got a little firmware update because of a small bug Sebastian found the other day. But as no one other found it until now, it wasn‘t worth to mention.

      The first Multiclock can easily be updated to the new version. Hardware stays nearly the same.
