- I have got all of my lures packed and ready for the new trout season. If you want to know what lures I am taking trout fishing with me this season? Then watch on...
Filmed with my mobile phone.
i hope you have a great season mate
Thanks so much mate.
Can't wait to watch and see some must buys Robbie.
You have some banging lures there Robbie
Thanks mate. I just hope that can catch me some trout this season.
Some absolutely great tips there, thanks Robbie. cheers buddy, take care and stay safe. 👍
Thanks so much mate.
I can't wait for this trout season I brought new spiners and everything
I'm looking forward to it too, can't wait.
Good one mate look forward to trout season
Thanks Cam. I'm looking forward to being back up on the hills.
Can’t wait to see what you use and catch this weekend
Thanks mate. I'm not 100% sure if I will get out this weekend, but if I don't I will definitely get out next week.
Nice lures! I got some damiki shrimp scented grubs from Tackle Club. Looking forward to giving them a swim in summer! 😁🎣
Size 1 gold vibrax will do me for small streams. Your fine work does show plastics stay in the zone for longer.
Thanks mate. They certainly all have their place.
Awesome mate! Love that storage idea. Your very organised..just remember to take them lures with you fishing 😅😅
Hahaha they will be organised in the shed. LOL 😂😂😂
Awesome stuff can’t wait to see you catch a new PB this year!
Thanks mate, I hope you're right. Haha
@@robbiefishing tight lines 🙏
Great content thanks for sharing
Thanks so much for watching.
nice vid
Thanks mate.
Nice storage system. I run some Panther Martin spinners. They are pretty smooth running and so many color options.
Thanks mate. I have used them in the last. They're a great lure.
Hello again rob
Loved this , it reminded me of when I was a young one, and over here our fishing season was from june 16 to March 31.. and while I waited for the new season to open I would rearrange and check everything over in anticipation of that opening day...
Fantastic rob, thank you
All the very best mate .
😎🏴
Thanks so much Mike. Our trout season opens this Saturday. I'm not sure if I will get out on opening day, but I will definitely be out there next week if I can't get out on Saturday morning.
Thanks for sharing great to see what is available and what you use
Thanks Peter. I'm really looking forward to getting back up into the hills.
What a great idea on the Bunnings Storage trays. Thanks mate.
Thanks mate. Thank my mate Ganesh for that one. Haha
I can't wait for trout season, gonna be a fun one!
I'm really looking forward to it too mate.
HEY YOU your ready for trout season nice work Robbie
Thanks mate. I'm can't wait to get back up into the hills.
When I chasing trout in my younger days, my lure consisted of 3,a silver wobbler, pink and a blue tassi devil, they worked well especially in dams with deep drop offs.
Pink Tassie Devils are one of my favourite lake lures for trout fishing.
Thanks for sharing Mate, have a great Trout Season Ahead !!
By the way you can also reuse those small sachets of Silica Gel moisture absorbers that come in various items of packaging and put one in the tackle box as an added way to keep moisture down mate :)
Thanks so much Robert.
Yes, thank you. Someone else actually suggested that to me. What a simple, and great idea.
Great video Robbie! I personally use tassies but it is nice to see the lures getting prepared for many catches.
Thanks mate. I love Tassies, especially in lakes.
@@robbiefishing Yeah, they work like a dream!
Great selection of lures Robbie.
You should invest in a ultrasonic jewelry cleaner to clean lures, I bought one to clean Darts and works great 👍
Thanks Biffo. That sounds great, I must look into them.
I've just upgraded my set up to a Diawa TD Hyper and a Shimano Miravel 1000, restocked on plastics and jigs and a few minnows ready for the season and I've gone and broken my ankle now so I'll miss opening weekend and I'm shattered about it! Love your videos mate and can't wait to see how you go this season!
Thanks so much mate. Bugger about the ankle. I won't be doing a lot of fishing this weekend myself so you're not alone. I have family commitments. I'm hoping to sneak out for a few hours if I can though.
@robbiefishing Oh bugger! Hopefully you can get out! I'm probably going to push myself and get out though. Can't miss opening weekend 😂
I'm worried the lure box is so small and you might forget it Robbie Ha ha.!
Haha that's always a possibility. LOL
How funny I have the same waterproof box
They are awesome for just taking a few lures out and saving weight on the trout streams 👍🏼
Great selection of lures and plastics, I bet your opening video is a ripper!!!
Can't go wrong with having a spinner in the tackle box, I believe the one you are unsure of is a bluefox spinner mate 👍🏼
If not they make ones the same and they are great if you want to use spinners.
Thanks mate. As long as it spins you're in with a chance.
@@robbiefishing yeah them cheaper spinners that don't spin 🤦
Made that mistake once before
G'day Robbie. For some reason I keep all of my hard bodies in their original boxes. But I use a fishing vest. I know which pocket to go for when I'm after a certain lure. Last time I cleaned out the vest I found some unopened sealed bickies and dip packets. Probably been in there 5 months. Ha ha. Can't wait for this season. Hope you're onto them for opening. Good luck.
Haha I have a funny feeling I have a packet of bickies in a backpack from last year. As soon as I read your comment I remembered them. Haha 😅😅😅
Something I found that works pretty good on old rusty lures,…soak those old rusty lures and spinners in Coca-Cola soda overnight, it should take most of the dirt and rust away.
Awesome, thanks for the great tip.
Oh my! I hope someone is honest and hands it in 😔
you and Strawbs going head to head again this year
We bloody better be. Haha Not on opening, but hopefully pretty early in the season.
I reckon you need one of Zeps sniper x lures in there bro
Have you ever tried the Daiwa Double Clutch range? They're one of my favourite Trout lures, especially in the 60mm size. Have caught a few Brown Trout in the 50-60cm size range on them, they work really well!
Hey mate that's awesome. I haven't used one but I've heard good things about them.
@robbiefishing well worth a try mate, I originally used them for Bass and Estuary Perch but have caught plenty of species on them in both the salt and fresh. A really versatile lure to say the least!
Gday Robbie why don’t you try putting a few of those silicate moisture absorbing packets in your tackle box. They’re in almost all packages these days and are just thrown away. 👍🏻
Hey Kev, that's a great idea. I must grab some next time I'm in Bunnings. Thanks for the great tip. 👍👍
What size rod will u be using to cast them lures and fishing line are u running ?
Hi mate, I will have a few today, I will probably start with my 6 foot rod.
I use 4lb Maxima Ultragreen line.
Still got a month here in nz hopefully I'm up and active by then
Good luck mate, I hope you are too.
Oh gees i tthink where alike im lazy my old lures are rusty ans dirty but gees they work great still. Great hint get yourself some bkf more spray they really Clean rhe lures up worth buying it even cleans the rust off.
Thanks mate, I will look into that. Haha yeah mine always get dirty. LOL
Love your vids and would just like to know what knot you use for soft plastics
Thank you so much. I usually use a blood knot.
@@robbiefishing thanks for reply I’ve bought the ech flow and strike tigers after watching your reviews
@aussiequad148 Awesome, thanks mate. I absolutely love me Ecoflow.
@@robbiefishing the ech flow makes everything so much easier
Where did you get your second container from?
Hi mate, do you mean the one without trays? I honestly can't remember. I wish I could because I need to buy another one.
We have to wait another month in nsw
Yep, your season doesn't open until early October. Tassie opens at the start of August.
Hey Robbie did u go up to the eildon fishing comp this year?
No mate, I'm not a competitive angler.
@@robbiefishing neither was i but it was a lot of fun u would’ve caught so many Redfin and cod
U headin up to mulwala one
Holy shit that took me 20 min to do this commenting. Shit my finger hurts. Lol😂.
Hahaha
Any helco in box ??
Not this box but I have a couple in one of my other boxes. I love the 8 meter crazy deep.
Black carriva ? Sounds like bolter😅
Hahaha
I can't wait 👏👏👍🏻👍🏻
Hate it when ya mates knock ya variety especially "why bring plastics for?" then that's what's working ha! the bums strip your stash & your the silly Billy lol..of course they molest the best ones 1st😢😂
Do you have any updates on frisbee the waffle flipper hobgoblin hunchback
Red eyed I could make better ie ccl eyes body stainless or chrome but no hook why Dacron or new line I tested ya could use any hook of jig head pin is the key for stability of lure on. Retrieve. Spinners looks like a nz line of spinner or could be mepps line all hard bodies ya can copy go to aldax company in Melbourne got the lot in gear to get the perfectly finished copied lures any type spoons now that's a hole new level alot of work I have 2 got from estate back in 1975 one of a kind could not find any historical information on the pair only had red tear drop blades on them they had been dipped in a plastic form of coating wax shine finish and are a multi layers oven shape x3. Tip SPRAY INOX ALL OVE LURES LEAVE FOR 25 HRS IN CONTAINER HOOKS AS WELL CLEAN WITH GREEN SCOURED GREEN ONE YA USE IN KITCHEN .IF HOOKS ARE STUFFED FROM RUST REPLACE WITH ASSIST HOOKS BASS ONES YA COULD FIND ANOTHER LURE THAT WORKS BETTER THAN THE BEST WHY ASSIST HOOKS ARE LIGHTER THAN A TREBLE IT CHANGES THE LURES ACTION BY 33%. DO A VIDEO ON THAT ONE.😂. POONTOON BOY HEY.
Pa while I am at it. WHAT DO YA CALL A CHINESE BILLION AIR. CAR ---CHING
Haha
