    Great work mate, couple of beautiful trout. I'm excited for trout season and also to get back out in my kayak again! I'll wait until it's a bit warmer though haha.

      HAVE you joined the local angling club? I am a past secretary of the club, & been a member for around 28 years! (IDK how they haven't made me a lifer yet!)
      Our Aug meeting was supposed to be this Wed, but the current lock down canned that!
      Come along to the next 1, (whenever THAT will be)! We usually meet, 3rd Wed of the month, 7.30, Senior Cits hall in James St!
      Cheers!

    Another great video Robbie. Thank you. I could feel the pain in loosing that lure. I donated a 50mm Big O to a tree. It was one of my favourite lures for yellas. I have never seen any in the marketplace since.

    Them blades are awesome on the brim, they work best "teabagging" method which means jigging hard up and let flutter back down through the water column below your craft, fish usually hit it on the drop , next time you're out on the boat with your dad use that blade and you'll cleanup on perch

    i often find it amazing that we are so strung up on eliminating invasive fish from our waterways like carp yet we then just accept that some invasive fish are there and don't care about them like trout.
    some people dont know it but fish like Rainbow/brown trout and Redfin can be just as destructive to native fish stocks then carp, sure carp cause a lot more environmental damage and dirty the water but trout and redfin can strait up out compete native fish and often make rivers and streams void of native fish

    Hey mate Spoke to fisheries in eildon a long time ago and they told me you can legally fish a lake to the 1st set of rapids into the arm so ya all good 👍🏻

    • @robbiefishing
      @robbiefishing  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks mate. I read the rules when I got home and it says the definition is "Where the flowing water of the stream meets the backed up water if the lake" In my opinion, as I was in my kayak and sitting in the backed up water I would be fine.
      Plus, thay 1st rapids idea makes perfect sense to me. Common sense prevails. 👍👍

      I worked with a bloke whose older brother used to dynamite fish in NSW North Coast creeks for Bream and stuff.
      He used half a stick and had to sign a book at the Co-op to buy it.
      He signed the town drunks name and eventually the drunk started doing his own dynamite fishing.
      The town drunk didn't know you use half a stick and just used a full one.
      He had an accident that blew his fingers off. 😮
