I throughly enjoy modern perspectives and this presentation on a dissertation on Quddus is ,as always, delightful. Ty for hosting and ty to the presenter.
I always have mixed feelings about our history. On the one hand, the early believers (and some believers today) showed incredible courage and faith. Very inspiring. On the other hand, I always wonder about the mentality of people who would persecute, torture, and murder people because they adopted different beliefs. The last time I read _The Dawnbreakers,_ it seemed to me that people accepted the Báb and then were killed. This genocide that was perpetrated on the early Bábís has not had enough world attention. 20,000 people dead? How can that be ignored? It is fascinating, and something I didn't realize or had forgotten, how much Quddus's life and death were like that of Jesus. The suffering of both our Prophet-Founders as well as their followers has always been proof of their validity. Who sacrifices _everything_ for a mission and message that is false? It doesn't happen.
Allah'u'Abha. This is excellent information, only that individuals who are not familiar with the accent of the speaker had to listen several times to follow the information
