I have this phone and also paid $500 for it. For this price, it's fantastic. I have the 8GB RAM model. You can also bump it up to 10 GB of RAM by using a portion of capacity storage. Go to Settings>System>Performance>RAM Boost then switch to On. The phone will need to reset automatically in order to complete the process.

This is a great deal. The desktop software looks pretty damn good and the stylus is another bonus for work or school. I'm guessing the camera's are better than most of the gaming devices and this phone is going to take on any game with ease. Can't forget about that 68 watt fast charging and the 512 gigs of storage is so nice. You can load up your favorite Media for that long trip on the road or air. This would be a fantastic backup phone at this price and Amazon has this in "open box like new" for $449. Wow!

I bought my first Motorola in 2020 coming from always apple. Right off the bat I was impressed with Motorola. I loved that the battery wouldn't weaken or software slow down after an update. I'm currently using the 20/20 edge Plus which is still fantastic, but I'm looking to go with this one next. I know Samsung and Apple are the top phones; but as long as they keep making Moto, this is definitely my choice

Wanted to upgrade, I'm a droid moto guy, thats what I use. My 2017 MotoZ Play battery was about shot. Believe it or not, for me for everyday purposes it STILL worked for me! This edge plus is a whole new world! I found one of these in A-B condition looks unused, 128, 8G, and of course that snapdragon. (Verizon) which I'm like you, at 899-999 I wouldn't give it a 2nd look. In Nov 22, at $499-599 I agree it WAS a good value. Today, in Feb 2024, at $139 bucks (yes that's all it cost me, and it DOES look unused) it is a STEAL OF A DEAL! Great choice for me for the next few years. Don't think it could GET any better

It's now $140 I had to buy a phone and this is the one I chose.
I wanted something nicer but they got rid of the "boost up" program which if you were qualified for an upgrade it made it so you could pay $1 down on the phone and then pay the taxes for the phone. My bill was only $12 more until I paid off my moto 5g stylus (which at the time barely released)
I'm only getting a new phone because the charger port is going bad and I would like a better processor and storage even though I have plenty due to a micro SD card.

I decided to go for the Pixel 7 256GB since it was cheaper after trade in. But hopefully this drives competition and will lower storage prices. Charging $100 for a 128GB storage upgrade just is so overpriced when you consider how much it actually costs the manufacturers to make a phone with 256GB flash storage instead of 128GB. I've always been a huge Motorola fan. Love the software and the Moto actions. But I do think they charge too much for their phones and don't offer enough support. And sometimes they cut too many corners. I think they are starting to head in the right direction though with much better design and build quality then putting better processors in their phones. And finally starting to offer more support too. Motorola should be a more popular brand but they need to get back to offering more value for your money. Because that's what made them popular to begin with.

Maybe they should speed up on giving longer support. Sounds like they are heading the same direction LG did. LG was slow to send software updates, and when they did it was short too. Near the end when they shut down their mobile division they gave longer software support but by then it was too late. They were already losing money quarter after quarter.

From what I've been trying to figure out, you will still get 4G LTE from AT&T and mmWave/sub-5G capability from Verizon or T-Mobile, but you won't get 5G/5GE through AT&T. Someone else trying to figure out their own consternation over the issue kept getting the finger-pointing cycle of "Well, the manufacturer needs to do this" or "Well, the cell provider needs to approve that" or "Well, the network needs to be set up for these FCC guidelines" and so on and so on. I'm resigned to just stick it out with an AT&T "non-signal" in a rural area, consider Verizon again down the road, and bring the unlocked device there when the situation is right for that.

I've had this phone for 8 months now, it's quite fast and well spec'd. The phone however isn't the best, especially indoor flesh tones. One of its best features is that its case isn't horrible to pry off to refresh the battery.

I had the 2021 and the 2022 version.
Even at 500$ it’s too much.
    Battery life was meh.
    Frequent stutters and lag.
    Cameras were just bad.
For 300$ (what I got mine for) it was perfectly acceptable.
I do like the Motorola UI more than the other android manufacturers.
Build quality was great, screen was great.

What did you have all those problems on? The 2021 Edge to me is the best phone I ever have had except for the camera which is absolutely horrible. The 2022 someone I know has it and I saw alot of stuttering with it. Also looking offangle it the display looked like a rainbow red blue tint at different angles. I bought a Moto Edge + 2022 on Woot and the display looked the same as the 2022 Edge but also I had to press the screen, icons multiple times before it would even do something. Its like the display wasnt responsive. Then I researched and others had the same problem.

Bought the S22 Ultra and so disappointed. Its a awesome phone, blazing fast, has alot of functionality. But two days in a row have had searing pain behind my eyes. After a hour it goes away and then I look at my Moto Edge 2021 for awhile and I dont get any eye pain. Go back to the Ultra and 10 mins later my eyes start hurting. They literally feel like they dry out and feels like sand behind my eyes. SO Im guessing a Pixel 7 Pro would be a problem too. So I guess Im stuck with a LCD screen. Its a shame, seems to be no flagships with LCDs anymore. I thought I had found a phone in the S22 Ultra I could keep for years.
