I'm 58. I have memories of seeing women going about their day in curlers, with a scarf tied around their head. It was something so basic. It was something women could do for each other while having tea and chat. You didn't have to go to the salon to have curlers put in. You just needed a friend with a rat tail come and a packet of Bobby pins.
I honestly enjoyed the squeaking of the curling iron, most people would probably find it annoying but personally I find it relaxing and makes me feel like I'm actually there if I close my eyes
Surprisingly I didn't mind it except for when I was constantly looking around my room. I got a new puppy and the curler squeaks sound a lot like the puppy's little whines for attention.
I love how Twix goes to different places and tries different things. So many Asmr channels find something they like and just stick with it. That’s great and all, but I really love the variety.

I love the stylist's chic timeless hairstyle that she has herself. The movement of someone in the background made it more relaxing somehow. Like some layered sounds almost. I think people focus too much on editing out all the background noise but I personally like it because it's more immersive.

Maybe your hair is on the thinner side? Usually the hair sort of insulates and protects you from the full heat on the iron while still getting hot enough to know if the curl is set.
I had my hair styled but this beautiful Japanese girl in Australia and the whole experience was so gentle I got so many ASMR tingles. Japanese women have an amazing soft way of doing hair, I can't wait to go to Japan and get my hair done again!

You should feel elated and grateful for that. The other make-up artist and hairdresser that made you a fall look in your makeup was okay but kind of sour. And, worked on you with desdain and dryness. This has been one of the videos that I have most enjoyed. Is not only the job that matters. Is how it is done, with gracefulness or sourness because everything is energy and that energy is placed in our auric fields, chakras and beyond. Therefore, will add or rest value on us afterwards feeling with high self-esteem or depressed.

We went to the courthouse but his mother and sister INSISTED on doing my hair and make-up before hand. Nothing super fancy but i felt beautiful with a few flowers in my hair

Same! Whenever I try to do this to myself I seem to get burned a bit. Guess it’s their confidence built from hundreds of hours of experience.
The more you use it the easier it gets. And honestly small burns do happen but from practice it won't bother you too much later
