Way too underrated, tbh. People dismiss it way too fast for lacking any monster fights, but the concept definitely entertained me. It's basically what happens if an "evil" Godzilla wins for once and drives humanity off the Earth. And it's got pretty good visuals too, at least for CGI anime's standards. A solid 7/10 for me.
The trilogy promised fans amazing new ideas that weren't executed in the proper way or fashion fans hoped for. This trilogy is far from underrated it's overhated yes but definitely not underrated. A lack of Monsters wasn't then only issue with this trilogy the entire story was underdeveloped and the characters were underdeveloped as well

Probably why they reversed that situation by letting the people behind Godzilla: Singular Point reimagine plenty of the famous Toho kaiju to fit within the story, and also JET JAGUAR

This is an interesting concept on paper, but the execution was pretty bad, in fact, the idea of two different types of human surviving both in space and on Earth was actually better executed by Gen Urobuchi in Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet

なんかこう、科学の発展＝環境汚染ってのが古いなあと思いました。
人間の進化の歩みを否定するような作風は個人的に納得できるアンサーはもらえなかったですね。
下手な難しい話し合いをするよりも、3種族が協力してゴジラというドラゴン退治をする物語が見たかった。（ゴジラは災害などの象徴なので殺すまではしなくても結構）
あと、シンプルに無機質すぎるビルサルドの兵器は見ていて無駄を削ぎ落としすぎて、活躍を見てもカッコ悪いなあとしか思わなかったので、しっかりと2本の脚で立つメカゴジラが見たかったですね。
異星人という存在を相容れないものとして描きすぎる気がしますね。
多種族同士の友情があっても良かったんじゃないかと。
ポリゴンピクチャーズにはもっと遊び心を持って欲しいと思わせる作品でした。
