When I played baseball in college I ate about 7k calories a day and was still losing weight. Durring the off-season I would run 5 miles, lift and then go to practice. 10 years later and reduced activity trying lose weight we are under 2k. It is amazing what you can do with your body.

This was great to watch while I ate my two slices of pizza. That’s my limit. I couldn’t imagine eating 10,000 calories a day. I literally couldn’t do it. No way. I go through phases of eating 3x a day and others 1x with a maybe a snack or two. I eat when I’m hungry and only when I’m hungry. I could never force myself to eat that much food in a day. Kuddos to you for being able to but there is a big difference in what the mountain needs for intake and you or the normal average man in the world. Your body ain’t built for that kind of intake.
Being a diabetic, I'd get way too sick eating all that cake. But I actually did start a diet of only fruits, veggies, and meat. Helped lower my blood sugar levels a lot.

If working out makes you miserable, cut back on it or try another method. No reason to waste time being healthy if it makes you mentally miserable! Cycling and exploration works for me. 2 hour trips.
If you all want to know how the mountain does eat 10,000 calories a day is the same way soldiers can eat between 5,000 to 6,000 calories in a day in the field. They eat breakfast then snack while working or marching or whatever else the command comes up with. They also wake up and do a workout each morning . The workouts change by day. Sometimes is crossfit , sometimes it's just lifting weights and sometimes it's just a 2 mile run before breakfast. And a hint on how to avoid sore muscles aside from alternating daily . Stretch before and after exercising.
If you are eating only 1500 calories a day and still gaining sounds like you have an extremely low metabolic rate and/or a glandular problem. Exercise is definitely needed but also make sure the calories you are intaking are quality. - Low sugar - low carb (unless you are exercising regularly) - Low saturated fat - Adequate protein - Adequate unsaturated fats (Poly and mono) - Adequate Fiber - Adequate micros (Your small vitamins, supplements work well)

You probably slowed down your metabolism. That’s the caloric needs of a toddler.
You need to excersise. You don't just eat less to be thin you have to eat balanced food and exercise
