worked for me after a half dozen goes.
I tried 3 or 4 times with no success, fresh batteries, still no joy.
So I shut down the box to standby mode by pressing the on/off blue button, then turned the power off at the wall and pushed the on/off button a couple of times apparently to drain any residual current in the box according to an IQ4 instruction.
After plugging back in and powering up the box, and giving a few minutes for the box to reset itself, I tried your method again and on the second attempt I was rewarded with a small flashing red light on the front of the box, and a "Successfully Paired" message on the screen.

Any way to pair an older remote? I have a flipper zero (geek tool that can emulate IR and radio signals) which I want to use as a universal remote but my foxtel remote is bluetooth controlled and my old remote is not paired.

how to you pair just a mystar2 one?? I got EXACTLY the same remote replacement and won't work it's like it will only read from the older remote
