Wonderful mate, thanks for that, I bought a Gremlin for £125 here in the UK in '90 LOL wish I still had it the way the prices have gone today....even 4drs are now expensive, bought my '68 Roadrunner in '84 for £1500, thankfully still have it, I could not afford to buy one today.
I had a 70 Mach 1 back in the early-mid 70’s that I used to take to test tune days occasionally at our local track. Performance built AMC’s were REALLY rare back then. I recall one day the guy in front of me in the staging lane had an AMX that had been lightly modded with stuff like headers, intake, carb, cam, gears and slicks. He ran a 12.80-12.90 which was really impressive for a street car back then. Especially compared with my mid 14 second 351W Mach 1. 🤣
Many, many years ago my friend Marty owned a ratty Javelin that looked like s hit but at 400-450 horsepower used to beat all challengers. That is until he lost to a Hemi Roadrunner that beat Marty so bad (3 out of 3 races at Great Lakes) he wound up selling the Javelin and never bought another muscle car! True story!
Don't know what you're looking at, but, AMC, Javelin, Americans and Rebels are some good looking cars. Heck, the American gets mistaken for a Chevy ii or Dart all the time. Now, the Pacer.... 🤣
