BURNS NIGHT (2022) | short film written & directed by Dennis Blass

Ian, a young man from Glasgow, hasn’t been able to speak to other women since his girlfriend broke up with him a couple of months ago. On Burns Night, he bumps into Scotland’s most famous bard, who turns out to be a terrible flirt advisor. Whilst Robert Burns is usually spoken about in documentaries, Burns Night brings the bard back to life in a comedy fiction setting and refers to his vivid love life with a wink.
After its release and festival circuit in 2022, I am happy to finally make my graduation short film publicly accessible.
