I got splattering when I turn brush full air ful fluid and when I turn brush off it splatters when turn back on do you know if it needle I polished and I put it on sharpening stone and I can't see any problems with it
Great Video ! Use a small piece of tubing from a can of WD40, or any small vinyl tubing to secure your needle in the Dremmel. A lot of needles come with a piece of tubing to protect the tip. 😎
I love watching you paint, but as a novice, this type of vid, is what I really need, when your thinking of these tips, don't assume I know anything, thanks again, would like to see your lure drying setup ,I been using lbs, but want to try epoxy, so I need a dryer setup
I sharpen my own needles with what I had on hand in the shop. Small vise, honing stones, battery drill and Ty raps on stone to get my angle right. I also use Acetone for clean up. Again I had it in the shop already, I would think that a new needle would work better with rain-x then a polished needle, polishing removes surface area and that gives much less adhesion and amount of rain-x on the needle. I never polished a needle, I will give it a try, it seems the polished needle should resist the build up of paint!
@@customlurepainter I dressed my needles and polished a .025 and a .038 a few minutes ago, I had some 1200 grit polishing compound handy, didn’t take long to polish up a shine. We will see how that works out, then I may try and seat the needle into the nozzle and put polishing compound inside the nozzle and seat the two together, and see if that helps any. I’ll know next time I paint if it helps!
Dremel 4486 Keyless Chuck, solve your needle holding problems. :-) Can easily be swapped on and off as/if needed.
Thanks for the tip
WD40 does exactly the same as your rain-x. It's just a water repellent.
Thank you for the tip
Thanks

Sounds like your nozzle has paint in it, try cleaning it
Dremal makes a drill chuck that fits pretty much all of their tools, that will hold your needles much better
Thanks for the feedback
rain-x sounds like a great idea.thanks for the tip. what is your camera set up ,is it on ur chest?
My camera is my iPhone 12max, I have it on a flexible big phone holder that clamps to my booth, Rain X works great
@@customlurepainter thanks, tried your crawdad tape stencil works awesome like it better than a premaid or 3d

Would it work, putting a cocktail straw in your Dremel then slide your needle inside it? Just a thought.
Idk, worth a try

Thank you, I can do that no worries
Thanks for the tips! Never knew about sharpen air! I bet I’ve replaced three needles in my Iwata because I don’t like using the cup at the end either.
I’ve bent my share lol, sharpen air helps save some
The video was very informative thanks 4 sharing!!!
My question is why don't U keep the needle cap on🤷♂️
It’s easier for me to clear dry tip and I can see better when I’m detail painting
I have a Harder Steenbeck and I got the needle cap that lets me clean dry tip I like it a lot.
where do I buy that needle sharpener at
Coast airbrush
Wow wonderful tips gotta try it tomorrow!
Thank you
