Hi Bill! Thanks for the video. I have the same feelings you do as the summer season comes to a close. Growing up on a dairy farm we always worked on Labor day too. God promised after the flood that there would always be seasons, spring , summer , fall, and winter. How good to see God's faithfulness thru out the ages. God has been with you thru many winters and seen you thru it. He will see you through this one also, I am sure. God's blessing to you and your family.
I know exactly how you feel. I'm the same way this time of year. I always appreciate the time you take for us. It's greatly appreciated. Take care Bill and have a great week !!!!
Thanks so much for sharing the video Bill. Yes sir I work on Labor day as well. Always something to do on a farm if you want to do it. I'm with you I don't care for short days either.
Really long Spring and early Summer days in Alaska but really short days in too long of a Winter there. 9:30 am, you’ll still using a flashlight and it’s getting dark by 4 pm! Tolerated that for nearly 10 years and now I have to tolerate 100 degree Summer days!
Far as this time of year, I am empathize and you have my support for what's worth bit you have plenty of stuff to keep your mind going so, keep being awesome 👌
It's ok brother Bill. We have lots of farm inventions too. I have been working on getting feed done so that the long winter won't be too bad. I'm way north of the Mason Dixon line
Hi Bill. Summers would be nicer if it wasn't so hot. Fall and winter are my favorite. Harvest time, hunting season, and getting equipment ready for spring to do it all over again. The best thing about summer, to me, is the county fairs and tractor pulling. But anyway you look at it. It is the day the Lord hath made, and I will rejoice and be glad in it. Blessings to all.
Mr Bill over here on the eastern shore of maryland the masondixon line is line rd. Maryland Delaware line. Btw im on the right side of Maryland. Remember those old bumper stickers theres no life west of the Chesapeake Bay.
Hey Bill from Tennessee. We had a terrible drought here and my corn did terrible. What actually made ears were pretty little ears but they were few and far between. Maters caught blight they call sepsosis. Awful down here
Hey Jeremy, sorry to hear y'all are having such a bad drought this summer. Like Dad would say, that's farmin'. I hope next year will be a great year for you.
Bill , I always hated when July 4th came and we started to do the wheat, that signaled,WINTER IS COMING! I hate it ! Milking cows in our crappy Md winters sucked , wasn't as bad in the 70's when we had cold weather and snow, but these warmer Temps and the mud and manure slapping you in the head while trying to get the ol surge milker on and adjusted had it's moments ! Spent many a frozen day mowing corn stubble , that hurt when a peice hit your ear ! No heat houser or fancy cab on that M Farmall just me and every stitch of clothing that I could wear . Best regards Bill
I grew up on a Dairy farm, and ran it myself for a few years. My favorite holidays were July 4th and New Year's, when I could celebrate at night, after the work was done. Easter and Christmas were "easy" days, and made time to celebrate with family around the barn schedule. Thanksgiving was sometimes a hassle, because of balancing the daily stuff and the schedules of non farm inlaws ideas of when to eat. Memorial day was usually chopping small grain and planting corn, and Labor day was either 3rd cut of hay or chopping corn. I only considered Easter and Christmas as Holy Days, not some made up Holidays that the government said is one. After taking a "paying job", having these days off is just strange to me!😂😂
Hi Bill,.over here it's the opposite i dislike long summer seasons here as the few short winter months past ever so quickly. When imports from American, on predelivery we switch to 85-140 gear oil in finial drives in our old White and Steiger, tractors. Warm regards, Bill.
I've always been parshall to winters because that's when I can rest and get restored for spring 🙏💪👍
