    I feel like the unorthodox darts and the lack of more than one magazine makes this a no-go for me.

    any proprietary dart is an IMMEADIATE non-purchase in my book

      Yeah... this new eco system of 3/4 length darts is really questionable at best.
      The blasters that take them aren't even that good either. Most of them are for training and gun safety, to put 3/4's in this made no sense.

      I bought one and made a 3D printed dart cutter, cut down 200 worker darts and use it for plinking at home

    • @veryrealperson3694
      @veryrealperson3694 ปีที่แล้ว

      It does sound to be a good plinker, but near useless in any event if you don't have a large resevoir of the ammo type. Nerf Ultra falls into the same space, and sadly, as much as the BoomCo straws were innovative, they also fall into this. While yeah specialty ammo like Mega and MegaXL seem like they'd also fall into this, they at least in SOME games have special abilities due to how much slower and bigger they are to use, (Not really anymore considering drain blasters and other ways of making megaxl fly) meaning that you aren't entirely depending on them for tags and stuff. Running out of ammo with a proprietary dart like this would essentially be a death sentence unless your secondary takes short darts. This comment is kinda overkill tbh, but I just wanted to say why I personally wouldn't run it. There are many ways to play, and there isn't an inherently "right" way to do things. As long as ur having fun and its safe nothing else really matters yknow

    Definitely seems amazing blaster in concept, it’s mainly just the odd dart length and the batter that, as far as I’m aware, isn’t typically used in this hobby that drag it down for me. The single magazine thing sucks to, but I wouldn’t be surprised if someone starts making aftermarket magazines (probably 3D printed) for it

    Compared to what Nerf is currently offering, $40 is super reasonable. However, that falls apart the second you look at Dart Zone. Overall not a bad blaster. If they fix the stock with metal bars and reinforce the selector switch then I would definitely buy one.

    So my take away from this is this blaster could be amazing for an HVZ primary/secondary but it would need some changes.
    1. The giant button removed and changed to a switch on the bottom of the grip
    2. Shims for the magwell or just a straight magwell conversion to standard short darts
    3. A better stronger stock, or a standard n-strike stock attachment, I would like this option better so the ability to put a folding, fixed, or a cap at the end would be possible

    6:58 this is especially true with blasters that have a proprietary magazine like this product.

      A bunch of import blasters use 3/4 darts, so I wouldn't be surprised if 3/4 length is just standard length in one of the Asian countries

    Even though it's not the best blaster you should totally use the shell for something or just do an awesome Flux style paint job.

  • @thetribunaloftheimaginatio5247

    I'd just lose the stock altogether and field this critter as an autopistol. Then again... I still need to get that X-Shot Dino Attack sawed-off shotgun. Also, Adventure Force waffles are cheap and easy to cut down.

  • @redenginner
    @redenginner 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    If you could get more mags I would 100% get one and make a cutter to cut down waffle darts. It would make the perfect week HVZ daytime blaster,with high capacity full auto without being nearly as annoying to lug as a Nerf/Dartzone sized blaster or as fragile/upkeep heavy as a 3d printed blaster. Plus for 40$ you get an aesthetically interesting autostryfe without having to buy a stryfe and upgrade parts.

    EBLs are my favorite rechargeable battery. Their 3.7v 14550 work great in any blaster that takes AAs. I use 2 with 2 dummies. It makes the turbine hit 100 fps at a much higher rate.

      @brellcooper1337 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Totally agree with with you and Dr Flux. Love EBLs and now that they are available through dr flux channel, I have a great place to buy them when I need more. Thanks Dr. Flux!

  • @eagelcat
    @eagelcat 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Sounds like a lot of work to mod the blaster I'm not saying don't do it but maybe design a blaster you want from scratch in 3D print some magazines keep the design pretty much intact but with one that could take talents even designing 3D printed telemax that have the double stack technology by reverse engineering the stuff that you have from this new blaster you got that's my thought 😁✌️

  • @legoboy-ox2kx
    @legoboy-ox2kx 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Could you easily convert it to half darts? If so I might buy one to mod

  • @brellcooper1337
    @brellcooper1337 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Overall, I can’t justify buying proprietary mags unless there is something really unique about the blaster that I can’t get anywhere else. Great review, appreciate the content, but going to pass on this blaster. I will be ordering some more EBLs though. They are great batteries and I like their IMR spacers better than worker spacers.

    I feel like they should have done more work to it for the price and they should have not tried to be unique by having different sized darts wich is the biggest failure point in my opinion..

    Somehow I have the same story. I found a nemesis at Goodwill for 1.99 has been a rabbit hole ever since. Mind you I didn't grow up with nerf guns my nerf was footballs. So I'm a little older.
