I was about to buy the predecessor to this machine today..and obviously the companies want to sell what they have in stock, but I would prefer this one.. it's been two months since you last replied here and Toolots (a major dealer) still doesn't have this machine. The gear indexer on the chuck backing plate and the corresponding detent is a novel idea, the variable speed scares me a bit....
