Shaq wasn’t joking. People just have a tendency to chuckle when they hear some real sht they don’t want to believe is true.
I don’t believe it’s like the commissioner rigging the NBA I believe the team owners get in the room and they decide who’s gonna win and they make deals Re guarding business outside of basketball

Well like I said in the video is it completely rigged like how boxing and combat sports could be with judging no. But you think they really got that much control? I think they listen to storylines and have teams they would want to win however rigging it to that extent imo is very hard

Doesn’t make sense cause in 99-00 Pacers beat the Knicks. Knicks have a huge market. Wouldn’t it be better for the NBA to have New York? But the Lakers vs Kings game is rumored to be fixed. Tim Donaghy, the referee in charge in Game 6 of the LA Lakers vs. Sacramento Kings, confessed it was fixed

That was my point too actually if you had a choice in which city to send to the finals and your choice was new york or Indiana it's a no brainer. And to your point games have been fixed. The way games are fixed isn't what people think it is imo. It's more subtle

Crazy thing is that then we call Shaq and Kobe legends when they should have 2 and 3 rings respectively (dont get me wrong they are still legends but a couple of tiers lower), we all know those series against portland and against sacramento was rigged asf, we would have Chris Webber walking with a ring as well as those portland guys. And for those wondering, the easy way to rig games is the refs giving more fouls to the team that is supposed to win, usually giving the star player 2 quick fouls, just check how many fouls those Lakers teams got and its almost double than their oponents.

Yeah blowing the whistle or also not blowing the whistle is a tactic. Ultimately they can't control who hits shots obviously so they can only sway games to a certain extent. Great players will still make great plays and it's not like Shaq and Kobe weren't deserving of those rings. But it's a part of all sports that some people just don't realize

@@Jayson.Estrera yeah in the end is just sports, people talk like these players are some sort of gods or gladiators 🤣 we shower them with money, fame and prizes when the people that are actually making a difference are mostly poor.

@pablodebella7695 yeah agreed some people think too highly of these players and expect too much. As we both know sometimes they'll hit shots and sometimes they'll miss we can talk strategies and everything else all we want but sometimes it's also that simple lol. I feel like some people expect these guys to hit everything haha

If that was the case, NBA's "King" wouldn't keep getting swept

It's not rigged in the sense where they can just choose whoever they want to win. It has to make sense. And ultimately, I think they attempt to sway certain games in to one team's favor. Getting calls at home isn't that a form of an advantage? That's widely accepted though. And I think that the NBA is also attempting to phase out of the Lebron era slowly.
