  • "MABDR is a scenic ride for dual-sport and adventure motorcycles that uses dirt, gravel and paved roads to wind through remote parts of Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Starting in Damascus Virginia, and ending in Lawrenceville, Tioga County, PA, this 1,080-mile route, primarily uses forest roads and rural country lanes, to lead riders through the Appalachian mountains, majestic forests, bucolic farming landscapes, Amish country, and locations that played pivotal roles in early American history."
    Hello!
    I'm Brady, AKA Mountainman, I've been a soldier, ski bum, police officer, government worker, photographer, and all around nomad. Now I travel on my motorcycle, make videos, and share them with the world. Along the way I do dumb stuff off road, camp, fly drones, take pictures, learn about culture and history and do my best to take you with me.
    In early 2022 I set off on my motorcycle Yennefer (2021 Tenere 700) for an adventure with no set destination or timeline. Come along with me and let’s see what will happen as I try to ride until I can't.
    Bike: Yamaha Tenere 700
    Luggage: Mosko Moto Scout Panniers, Backcountry Duffle, and Hood tankbag
    Navigation: Carpe Iter Tablet and Drive Mode Dashboard 2
    Cameras: GoPro Hero 11, Hero 9, GoPro Max, GoPro Hero 8, Skydio 2, DJI Mavic Air 2
    Gear: Adventure Spec Jacket/Armor/Gloves/Pants/Base Layers, Alpinestars Toucan boots, Arai XD4.

    In case you're ever back in PA (or for anyone reading the comments), state parks in PA have free entrance.

    Pretty entertaining video and it looked like a nice ride. Strangely enough I really don't mind riding in the rain through the woods. The highway though is a completely different matter. Thanks.

      The amount of rain can drastically change how it is to ride in. I also enjoy riding in the rain off road, when I can see lol.

    Did my first BDR this past October (well only sections 5-8), and it was this one. Talk about some beautiful colors when the leaves are turning!! Going to do the whole thing this May!

    Mountain View Motorcycle Campground is the best. We stayed there for the Smokey Mountain 1000, started the loop there, and stayed a week later when we finished the route. If this is from last September? I was at that dual sport r😂ide it Bald Eagle State Forest.

    Nice video. I'm glad you are making these into movies. That makes them much easier to watch. It's funny how different the NE BDR is from the MA BDR, difficult to easy. I live in NY so I'm looking to complete the NE BDR this year. I'm also moving to VA later this year so I guess the MA BDR will be next year. Which BDRs have you enjoyed the most so far?

    • @MeerkatADV
      @MeerkatADV  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have favorite sections from each of them. I wasn't the biggest fan of NM or MA but there were still great parts of both.
