- "MABDR is a scenic ride for dual-sport and adventure motorcycles that uses dirt, gravel and paved roads to wind through remote parts of Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Starting in Damascus Virginia, and ending in Lawrenceville, Tioga County, PA, this 1,080-mile route, primarily uses forest roads and rural country lanes, to lead riders through the Appalachian mountains, majestic forests, bucolic farming landscapes, Amish country, and locations that played pivotal roles in early American history."
Hello!
I'm Brady, AKA Mountainman, I've been a soldier, ski bum, police officer, government worker, photographer, and all around nomad. Now I travel on my motorcycle, make videos, and share them with the world. Along the way I do dumb stuff off road, camp, fly drones, take pictures, learn about culture and history and do my best to take you with me.
In early 2022 I set off on my motorcycle Yennefer (2021 Tenere 700) for an adventure with no set destination or timeline. Come along with me and let’s see what will happen as I try to ride until I can't.
Bike: Yamaha Tenere 700
Luggage: Mosko Moto Scout Panniers, Backcountry Duffle, and Hood tankbag

The first couple of days will definitely earn you a switchback merit badge.
In case you're ever back in PA (or for anyone reading the comments), state parks in PA have free entrance.
Good to know.
Did my first BDR this past October (well only sections 5-8), and it was this one. Talk about some beautiful colors when the leaves are turning!! Going to do the whole thing this May!
That's a long ride from New Mexico but I sure hope to do it one day soon! Thanks for sharing!
Nice, been watching your other shorter east coast videos. Really enjoyable footage. Thanks for doing this and sharing.
Honestly why I left the SE 15 plus years ago .. all private land with no real wilderness except little patches here and there
Love the views
Bike is awesome
Excellent video.
That Amish drift you captured was amazing, thank you for sharing the adventure! Safe Travels, looking forward to seeing your movie on the Northeast BDR
I was not the one that captured that. But it was pretty incredible.
Nice
Mountain View Motorcycle Campground is the best. We stayed there for the Smokey Mountain 1000, started the loop there, and stayed a week later when we finished the route. If this is from last September? I was at that dual sport r😂ide it Bald Eagle State Forest.
Yep, late September early Nov.
Nice video. I'm glad you are making these into movies. That makes them much easier to watch. It's funny how different the NE BDR is from the MA BDR, difficult to easy. I live in NY so I'm looking to complete the NE BDR this year. I'm also moving to VA later this year so I guess the MA BDR will be next year. Which BDRs have you enjoyed the most so far?
I have favorite sections from each of them. I wasn't the biggest fan of NM or MA but there were still great parts of both.
My dream to do what your doing.
Pretty great ride ain’t it?
Very pretty, nothing challenging for riding but gorgeous especially in PA.
I enjoyed watching your different long form BDR videos! Do you have any favorites routes?
I have favorite sections on every route. It's very difficult to narrow it down.
Enjoy your videos, just getting into BDR, what GPS do you have on your bike and mount?
Drive Mode Dashboard 2, the GPS clamp is Rally Raid.
@@MeerkatADV Thanks, so it's a monitor that utilizes your phone for the apps. I like how clear it is on your rides.
No, it's an android tablet running its own programs and GPS. My phone is not connected to it.
How's the food?
Where did you get the hand controls for your GPS?
@@Hammerhead812 it's an old controller. They make newer ones now.
How many days did it take you to do the MABDR?
Five, the eastern routes are long.
@@MeerkatADVThat is fast. I did it 1 day per section. It gave me plenty of time to enjoy the route. Every one has a different pace 😀 Ride safe.
That chest regulating makes your gut look huge
What tires are these you speak of?
Motoz Dual Venture front and adventure Rear is what I went with. I had Rallz front and rear I believe at the time and they had several thousand miles on them.
