Oh 1980's how I miss you!
I was 8 years old that year. Oh the memories.
Same age
I was born in 1988 that was a good year
lionking101 what month are you?
I love the song to the GE commercial.
I was only a few months old when this aired
Finally, something from my neighborhood. Toward the beginning of this video, it says Kabc ch 7. Which is Los Angeles. Every other videos I've seen is from an East coast feed. For me, I feel like i really time traveled. Thank you.
I've been searching everywhere for that GE commercial. I remembered it for years. I love the music and everything else about it. Magical. Thank you for posting.
oh man I was 8 yrs old when this came on tv!! =-/
Art carney aka ed norton from the honeymooners was in a coca cola classic commercial back in 1988 and it aired on kabc abc los angeles tv 7
I actually have the 1988 Academy Awards on Beta, lol. Taped em because I was in Maryland and my brother was obsessed with Pee Wee Herman, he announced best short film. A lot of these commercials feel like a few years ago, not 32. Like how close they feel in my memories.Geez, I was 14.
Carol Potter in the AT&T commercial at 3:13
I had a 1988 Chevy Beretta and will say that it wasn't that bad of a car. It actually got decent gas milage and I never had any problems with it.
13:54 William Schallert on the voice-over for Chevy.
15:18 Somehow Richard Chamberlain's Jason Bourne never caught on.
Was hoping for a TJMaxx commercial, lol
I love the 80s sound, Imans hair though
Watching this, one has to wonder in the near future which of today's big companies will end up either broken up like GE or gone the way Kodak did.
Wasn’t the kid at 12:18 on ‘Family Ties’?
😊😊
Demi Moore in the Diet Coke commercial!
3:40 datawave af!
15:39 S class commercial (for myself)
8:15 sounds like the E.T theme
it is
Every time I watch these 80s commercials I am completely struck by something, some piece of music in a commercial, or female beauty, or the depiction a family. There is always something.
28:32 Coincidentally right after the Rocky theme, Stallone played Nitti in "Capone" (1975)
58MPG??!! What car was this?
April 11 1988 my date of birth.
Miriam Franco July 24, 1988 my date of birth.
Diet Coke isn't something to risk your life for.
1:04 Wow! She was a pretty big star at this point!
Not really. She was mostly in soap operas and b-movies at this point. I think this is right after Nothing But Trouble bombed, she'd been in One Crazy Summer (which was on HBO every 5 hours around this time), About Last Night, and St. Elmo's Fire -- none of which were real hits. So she keeps her head down, plays the game, and they give her Ghost after this commercial. Another manufactured star is born.
11:55 NORTON!
Looking back the cell phone replaced cameras and the random friend phone call. Its a text now. No one cares about diet soda or regular soda as much as the 80s. More love for energy drinks
I Was 16 My God When TV Commercials And Entertainment Had Talent Now The Kids Have The Kartashians And Kylie And Trash Reality TV And Horrible AutoTune Music And Crap Movies 😂 Sad
What an atrocious decade
the worst of the 80s is light years ahead in greatness compared to 2000-2020s
The 1980s was less trashy 1988 - 89.
Back when it was only male and female's walking around
👍👍🎯💯
