I’m from Springfield, Missouri and we have so many Amish and Mennonite communities around us. My husband and I visited in Tennessee to meet Michael and Debi Pearl over 9 years ago. When we were there we befriended an Amish couple who traveled from PA to meet the Pearl’s as well. They were born again Christians but asked for prayers for many of their elderly family members back home in PA who were not saved! My husband and I along with many of us assumed because of the simple Amish lifestyle that they were Christians. Like all of us, they are in need of a Savior too! Thank you for sharing this beautiful piece of your family with us! Very special!
You are a beautiful soul... Such a sweet voice and a sweet person, so tender and thoughtful and humble. I am sure they were thrilled to see you after all this time, and barriers were broken. God bless you, sister...
I indeed did enjoy this video! I admire that when you speak of your relatives, even with having gone through some tough times, you have no bitterness in your voice or heart, only love, compassion, and gentleness. The Father's love coming out of you is apparent, unconditional love! We all pray that the blessed assurance you speak of will be known by all our family members. Thank you for sharing. Your family is a blessing.
Wow. Tons of feelings came flooding back just watching this, after being removed from the community for so long. Great job on getting the shots you did at the funeral. Good job.
How lovely that you honoured your Aunt and at the same time you and your siblings supported your mother in the loss of her sister, it cannot be easy when a family is splintered by belief’s or religion.
Wow! So beautiful! I’m so glad your family received you well. I’ve always had a great love for the Amish community and highly respect them. So glad I ran across and subscribed to your channel. Blessings!
Thank you for showing us. For 22 years my husband and I went to Lancaster Co., Pa. shopping for antiques. I was very interested in those people and their way of life. I know the area so well and miss it. I wish life was simpler for us. I am sorry you lost your aunt and sorry you did not know them.
Awe I’m from Philly so I know exactly where you’re speaking of..their community is beautiful. Definitely a sense of calm from the chaos with the outlets nearby
Priscilla, first I’m sorry for the loss of your Aunt. Second thank you so much for sharing your Amish heritage, and for sharing a bit of what an Amish funeral is like. The light of Jesus shines in you, the kind, loving, sweet person you are! I love your videos about your family and your homestead. I was thinking, that I hadn’t seen a new video and I was missing it! Thank you again God Bless Montana Haven family
Beautiful footage, despite some sad circumstances. God bless. I love watching your channel and get so inspired by your lifestyle. Thank you for taking the time to share
A wonderful glimpse into the "Old world Amish" lifestyle done with great dignity to the members. Oh, do I remember well the funerals as a little girl. As I was watching the video on the way to the burial site, I could smell the wool blanket and feel the itchiness I felt like a little 4-year-old girl. My great grandmother would tell me to keep my face in the blanket, it was always a snowstorm for a winter funeral, and little girls want to SEE so keeping my head and face in that wool blanket was really hard to do. My great grandmother did not permit power in the home, running water, and I remember learning to use the washboard to do laundry, too. Although those years were hard, I am so grateful I had that experience and learned from my wonderful great-grandmother. Thank you, Priscilla, for sharing this video and experience. Happy New Year to you and your whole family.
Sorry for your loss. My parents were also shunned when we broke away from the Amish. I was 12 at the time. Sounds like your family and mine experienced the same thing. I don't know many of my relatives either. This is the first time I seen your videos. I'll have to check them out and sub. Thank you!
My heart pulled for you, your mother and siblings. And then to see your people. What a treasured moment. That feeling of being one to them, connected. Sights, sounds, smells. And even now your heart must ache to connect again. I will pray for them, to truly know the love of Jesus, and His free gift of salvation, that security in the Father's arm. Thank you for allowing us to come.
I am so sorry for your loss. All families have hardships, as you know. Your heart is huge for facing the uncertainties you have dealt with, and continue to deal with. Sometimes our faith carries us well. It shows🙂
Priscilla, I'm so glad for you, your mother and siblings, that you were able to connect with your relatives. It's a sad time, yes, but also good that you were able to show Christ's love through you.
After reading your dad's book and then seeing the funeral and knowing how it feels to have fractured family relationships, my heart goes out to your mom at the loss of her sister. There has to be so many mixed emotions.
You have such a beautiful family. Thank you for sharing this sad/special funeral time with us! Thank you for honouring your relatives privacy by not filming the funeral. Yes, finding Jesus...that is what the world needs!
Thank you for sharing. Growing up near the Amish, I love to hear about the traditions. You have such an incredible heart and are an honor to them♥️♥️♥️
I’m so sorry to hear of your Aunt’s passing. May her memory be for a blessing. I’m also glad you weren’t shunned too much. It’s got to be hard to deal with and I’m so happy you kids were there for your Mother and a good support for her. Family stuff can be hard. But I pray that perhaps a tiny door is opened and you can communicate with them. I think we will all meet in heaven, no worries about that. Again, I’m sorry.
What glimpse? All I saw was two airports Anna Waffle House. We didn't even see the funeral service just them going to the grave site. Not to be rude but this wasn't a glimpse into anything
@@jenniferlynn8503 it is my hope that over the last three years you have acquired some insight into the strict rules of these people. The fact that we get to see THIS MUCH and THESE MANY glimpses astounds and amazes me. Cameras/video/photography are so very much not allowed I am shocked at the amount of footage we have the ability to experience!
This touched my heart as all of your videos do. It is difficult to be treated differently and yet they are your own people. I am so happy you got to see your Uncles and cousins and some others. It had to be hurtful to be shunned back years ago and I am glad you did the right thing and honored your aunt and her family and her life. You hold no grudge and you shared that by being there and holding that most important that family is family no matter what! You're such a beautiful spirit and heart and I am so happy you had this video up tonight. Blessings and thank you for sharing these emotions, they are so pure and true.
This was lovely to see!! Thank you for sharing giving us the chance to see your people! Also lovely to see your family....I shared your video about your wonderful mother.,with my church family ! They all enjoyed it.....God bless you...Fondness wishes from England!!.......x
Thanks for sharing. May seeds be planted there with your people. Lord, touch them and may they remember the presence that Priscilla and her family brought there. No tradition or culture should take away the truth of your word. So finish what you started in her extended family...that there will be much fruit left there. Jesus, you are so good. Thank you for Montana Havens sharing and allowing us to get glimpses of their life and testimony of you. I hope Priscilla that you get some rest. I pray you will have more opportunity to minister to the Amish Community.🙏
Thank you Priscilla for sharing this special time with us. I am so thankful you were able to join the others in the home and not be in an overflow room. As I know you were looking forward to the opportunity to connect with your family. It is always nice to be with your immediate family and catch up (siblings/parent). My condolences for the loss of your aunt. Even though you did not have the opportunity to know her personally you were there to honor and show your respect, and support your mother. Blessings to you and your family.
I loved the true warmth of all your precious family. This was a very informative video and reminder of our families everywhere around the world , I've been neglecting prayers, for. We all are in need of prayers. Feeling very blessed to have viewed the rekindled love!
I loved this. Those hills of Kentucky is so beautiful. Even on a rainy and sad day. And the music was perfect. That is the music of the hills and mountains of KY and TN (TN is where I grew up).

I appreciate how you spoke about your relatives. Very respectful. My parents also left the Amish so I understood a lot of what your feelings were. Thanks for the video!
Such a Sobering video.... Beautiful farmland.... My heart was sad for your Mother's Loss of her Sister..... Thanks for sharing this precious time with us.... God Bless y'all
Thank you for sharing your journey back for you aunt's funeral. You were very respectful, and even though it had to be hard in many ways, it's a memory that you, your mom, and brothers and sisters will cherish forever! I love the footage of the two little boys in the back "rumble seat" of that hack on the way to your uncle's home for the burial. My dad's grand-mother's family (Etter family) came from Switzerland back before the American Revolution, settling in Pennsylvania. (Some moved to New Bern, North Carolina, as well.) I am a preacher for a small country church, here in Illinois. My family is a large one, so God has blessed me very much!) I wish I could find out more about them! So, it's good that you have the books written by family, the videos, etc. May God bless you and your family!
Thank you for making your videos. I really enjoy your Christian, Amish, conservative, earthy, loving, family, mind set. I long for more of that in my crazy life. Thanks for sharing your life, your thoughts, your goodness, your Lord with me and others. Blessing a many.
Thankyou for letting us meet your family and for showing a little of your heritage, you are a very special lady and showed great respect for your family, prayers for your family hold onto faith
Priscilla thank you so much for sharing. Family is important one never knows where you will end up one day. I believe your uncles and aunts & cousons were happy to see you guy's aswell. We have to reach out to one another i think this trip meant the world to your mom. May God bless you're all. Love from Namibia 💖
Hearing the hope for your family that they know the plan of salvation brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for the glimpse into your family and your people. It was a beautiful tribute! Also, I was SO happy for your mom that she was able to go to her sister’s funeral. I imagine it might have been a little intimidating to go somewhere you may not be welcome. But she didn’t go alone. She was accompanied by those that love her. How blessed she is to have loving children! 🥰
Dear Priscilla, thank you for sharing this peek into that community. I too pray they come to know the grace the Father offered through His son. I am glad you had a good trip. I bet your Mom was so proud of all of you.
Thank you for sharing such a personal and tender time with your family. I do not dought that your humility and your loving demeanor had a positive impact on your extended family. I believe God uses us, especially when we exhibit the fruits of the spirit to open hearts and let the holy spirit work. Blessings to your family.
Thank you for sharing this experience. I think you were about three hours from my home here in WVa. It was certainly a privilege to have this respectful glimpse of Amish life and loss. I loved the music.
I am so very sorry for your mother and your families great loss! Thank you for sharing your heart! Doing the right thing always brings peace to any situation! Praying for your relatives and all of your grieving hearts!
I'm so glad you were able to reconnect with your extended family. It's a sad fact today it seems a lot of families only connect at weddings and funerals
Sorry about the passing of your Aunt and everything that happen when you were young that made it hard to have a relationship with her. I'm glad you all decided to go out and pay your Respects, that quilt won't weigh on your heart.
I found this incredibly sad. I actually cried watching it. I am so sorry for the loss of not only your Aunt, but the many years and triumphs you lost by not being able to share them with your Family because they originally shunning you. I can feel that pain myself, as my siblings have done the same after our Parents passing. I think you're such a sweet soul and really do enjoy your wholesome and informative videos. Stay safe and know that you and your wonderful Family are held dear in the many hearts of the people who watch your videos.
Those 2 little boys in the back of the wagon are adorable. You have such a gentle soul and beautiful heart. Thank you for taking us during such a delicate time. God bless you.
So nice. I am a new subscriber. I love hearing about the Amish. We have an Amish made cross in our church. We love to buy Amish products when we see them. Thank you for sharing your life with us. Blessings to you.
Pricilla your love for your family is so precious. I’m so glad that your family could go to your aunts funeral and spend time with them. Your love and forgiveness and wanting them to have assurance of salvation was the heart of the Father. Love you and your family❤️🙏🏻
As I watched this video and knowing your background of how your mother came from darkness into light by the revelation of Jesus Christ my heart broke for your Kentucky relatives that have not had that revelation. I too will pray with you that they will have an experience as your mother had that brought your whole family out of lifelong bondage to a works religion because we know in our hearts that we can never do enough good works to merit heaven; that is why we who are born again by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ are such a joyful people and the contrast between your family and your Kentucky relatives is a perfect picture of this.
I love your videos. Even though I did not grow up amish, I grew up in the 50s on a dairy farm in Michigan. I reminise on the love and joy that life was then. Hard work and loving family and community. This world is so different now. Thankyou for showing us that good Christian values are still alive. God bless You and your family💕
The little boys are so precious, so sad, But we have to do it. You are so pretty and beautiful. Your husband and your children are blessed to have you. I did enjoy this video, don’t ever stop making them, I love you
Just watched this video! Simply Beautiful!❤️🙏♥️. I am glad that I subscribed! You have got a big heart 💜. Thank you for sharing this! Sincerely Joey from Minnesota 😊
This is a beautiful video of a glimpse in the life of the Amish people. I’m sorry for the loss of your aunt. My sympathies go out to your mother and all your family. I pray your relatives will one day come to know the assurance of their salvation. Amish people and their way of life are fascinating to me. May God bless you and your family always and thank you again for allowing us to be shown the way of life of your relatives.
Oh Priscilla, I cried. It was so heartfelt and I appreciate the glimpse the life of the more conservative Amish community you came from. And the hardships of what living that life must be like. Yet I understand that they are living the life they know. I too pray they don’t just hope but know they can get to heaven through the plan of salvation, Love and sympathy to you and your family.
So sorry for your loss. 😢 It is wonderful that you and your siblings could take your mother. I’m sure it meant a lot to her. I was born and raised in southeastern Ky. My family is Baptist and I was saved when I was 10 and baptized. I never knew very much about the Amish or Mennonite lifestyle and beliefs. I’m enjoying videos that have helped me to understand more. God bless you and your family. Wish we lived closer. I think it would be awesome to meet you and visit. 🤗
Thank you for sharing a glimpse of your heritage with us. Heaven knows the seeds that you and your mother and siblings planted. I know that God will use this for his good.
Very special video. I appreciate y'all being respectful even though you don't live in that certain community anymore. It will speak volumes to them of your love and the love of God for them.

Also, I was SO happy for your mom that she was able to go to her sister’s funeral. I imagine it might have been a little intimidating to go somewhere you may not be welcome. But she didn’t go alone. She was accompanied by those that love her. How blessed she is to have loving children! 🥰
Thank you Taylor family!
Dear Priscilla, thank you for sharing this peek into that community. I too pray they come to know the grace the Father offered through His son. I am glad you had a good trip. I bet your Mom was so proud of all of you.
Priscilla my condolences to your family for the loss of your aunt and thank you for sharing the funeral with us ❤🦋🦋🦋🌻🌻🌻🐝
Thank you for sharing such a personal and tender time with your family.

Thank you for your kindness!
Those 2 little boys in the back of the wagon are adorable. You have such a gentle soul and beautiful heart. Thank you for taking us during such a delicate time. God bless you.

Thank you for your kind comment and prayers Shirley!
I love your videos. Even though I did not grow up amish, I grew up in the 50s on a dairy farm in Michigan. I reminise on the love and joy that life was then. Hard work and loving family and community. This world is so different now.

Thank you for sharing. I know that they don’t like to be photographed, so I so appreciate what you were able to show and share.
Amen! I can feel the love for your people in your voice. So precious. I hope your mother had a peaceful time. God bless her and all of you! 🙏❤🌹
Thank you so much!
Thank you for sharing, well said. God Bless and keep you close to HIS heart and walking in all HIS ways.
Thanks for sharing, Priscilla. Blessings for you and your family near & far.
Enjoyed very much your video. The shots of the two baby boys in the buggy was exceptional
Very special video. I appreciate y'all being respectful even though you don't live in that certain community anymore. It will speak volumes to them of your love and the love of God for them.

That was beautiful, thank you for showing us this video. I just came home from Lowville NY, my mom lives in this small Amish community town. I also saw this beautiful little girl with her parents. She was so cute looking at us from her buggie.
I’m glad you went with your Mom so she could go to her sister’s funeral. It’s sad though that she couldn’t see her while she was alive.
So sorry for the loss of your aunt. And yes those little boys were so adorable. My 3 great grandparents back were Amish. So glad you got to talk with your relatives.
