If you want a Mac look on Linux, you should use KDE Plasma as it has way more customization option than GNOME does and can mimic features exclusive to Mac like the global menubar
Plus there are global themes you can download from the KDE Settings app that look like Mac OS and there's really not much you have to do after applying the global theme. Certainly not all the stuff in this video.
KDE 6 has the big issue of being in QT6, which means lattedock won't work and there isn't a good alternative Edit: looks like lattedock will have plasma6 support in the following months, they finally fixed the compilation issues, now they have to rewrite the wayland code and fix rendering on xorg
@@arjix8738 instead of latte dock, you can make a new panel, put a icons only task manager, change the option of panel width so that it fits the content, and then you have a makeshift dock
KDE is so feature bloated. There is redundancy everywhere. No thanks. Remember, the modern Gnome desktop was designed by Andy Hetzfeld, a former Apple designer. GNOME is just plain better and is certainly better for macification
Sad, just sad. Just cough up and buy a decent machine and OS, namely Apple. I dropped Linux on the desktop in 2011, and have never looked back. Been 100% Mac since then, wouldn't dream of going back to Linux sketchy desktops, fragmentation, and so on.
You can't use any OS with apple's M chips besides Macos. Which is pretty horrible for anything besides non-creative-related tasks or everyday browser usage. Need old or specific software like CAD? Sorry, apple won't let you run it or there's none available at all. Want to code something (for devices unrelated to Apple)? Nope. VS Code is the best you get. Games? Forget about it. It's not like hardware is capable to play something anyway. No Vulkan, DirectX, bad OpenGL support. Prices? 200$ for 8GiB of ram or 256 GB of storage. A couple additional CPU/GPU cores for 400$. WTF?? And you can't even upgrade it later cause it's either proprietary or soldered to the board. The only good things about apple products are battery life and CPU performance/watt.
All my life I've been on Windows, I've try Linux Mint but i got many problem with drivers (My audio was awful and buggy, etc..) on Fedora i didnt get this bug it was nice but after a few time i got bored so i might try mac now
@@manu_ovg TBH macOS is what Linux desktop should be, but, it isn't. It's fluid, uniformed, stable, fast, compatible, I could go on. Most IT professionals I know have moved to Mac. For example I deal with a lot of Red Hat people, and nearly all run macOS, and just SSH into the target servers. Once you go Mac, you never go back.
@diablobarcelona Type shit Windows is good but too much noise and i dont play game anymore so idc if Mac doenst have game at least its fast and the autonomy is goated
Now make macOS look like linux...
There's no "Linux" look, you can make it however you want.
But even if you chose one distro like Ubuntu you can't make it look like Ubuntu on macOS
I Cant Make MacOS look like linux
You Must Select Distro Or Desktop Environment

@HamzaHassan-q5m you can install any LINUX window manager on Mac OS X.

on the other hand if you use touchpad as an average laptop linux user, the gnome touchpad gestures are just unbeatable compared to KDE

its not really related to the brainrot but i think its how intense the blur is
@jpedrothejo ah okay
Greek character
Gen Alpha when they find out that Greek letters exist:
gen alpha will have an average IQ of wet cardboard
This looks a lot like macOS! Great video.

Linus definitely had this in the back of mind when he made linux like 34 years ago
use fedora now
where is the launchpad
There used to be an extension that made the indicators on the right side just like Mac OS.
did ur voice get deeper?
I was a little sick during the recording of this video.
He wanted to become Batman, lol
Is there a script or command to make this all easily?
It's not fake it's just not bare metal people cannot spot the difference.
But how?
If you don't have sugar daddy and life either, choose the Linux
How do you download the icons
Try Arch with KDE.
your mac isnt supposed to show spinning beach ball when opening apps :/
well, finder is not permanently open XD nice video
2:32 Using a .png instead of .svg solved the stretching issue for me.
Bro it's the best vedio about this topic it's short resourceful and enjoyable 💖
Should’ve used Kubuntu instead
it's closer now but Apple logo too big
reminds me of the "macOS" you'd receive on a fake MacBook clone that just happened to come in a real Apple box
Any solution to the global app menu?
Vincelui-liu-luice
You can instal plasma
Just use Fedora Linux with Whitesur-gtk-theme, Whitesur-icon-theme, Whitesur-wallpapers, Whitesur- cursors
FINALLY, someone other than me likes making MacOS clones.
and Nice try , I hope you make an even more convincing clone in the future !
(it was a tedious process for me so I don't expect that soon)
MacOS from Temu
how can we change the font in windows to sf, I think it looks much better compared to the windows fonts
which version of gnome are you using?
This is Ubuntu 22.04
It would look more like Mac OS if you use OpenCore Legacy Patcher
Now do it on KDE plasma
Now make macOS look like Gnome or KDE
Everything is good until someone presses super.
That's not the good thing to do with Linux. Linux has there own legacy
Use Arch linux
Macaroni OS
Next time, use Kubuntu instead of Ubuntu for a FAR more accurate result.
easier to do it on kde plasma
my xfce with mac os looks better
sigma
Five
MacOS from wish
Why bother make into mac os. Use your own theme the way u like it.
MacOS from china
This... This is wrong.
Has anyone noticed the "sigma" slider💀☠
