    Liz, it’s amazing! I love those structures you created. The shape of dill, and the dramatic sky, wow!!! I was looking for a way to make those effects, but had no idea 🤷‍♀️
    Especially the accidental that develop when sprayed in wet paint. I was looking for such an effect, I know there are supergranulating colours but won’t use them because they are preserved with biocides. Salt sadly is not possible because Ultramarine, my only blue, reacts with acid… thank you 👍🏻💐

    So a little paint straight out of the tube plus water for the spray bottle? Darker value add more paint lighter value more water ? Maybe just need to experiment to get the right ratio.

    • @LizChadertonArt
      @LizChadertonArt  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, just spray on a scrap of paper to check on the strength. And you can put multiple layers on if you like too.

    I did have to chuckle though. My OCD "matchey-matchey self whispered that the green top should be on the bottle with green paint in it. LOL! (I often have to tell my OCD self to hush!) 😆 Hugz, Tree

      @Liz Chaderton LOL! It's ok. This is just another opportunity to practice telling it to hush up! It's definitely not your fault, LOL! Ya don't have to be matchey-matchey. I had a hard time with it on your coffee video's though. 😂🤣😅

    Please make sure the paint isn't toxic before spraying. Certain paints going airborne can be very bad for your health. Cadmiums especially. Great ideas, and I quite liked the furry caterpillars! 😀

    • @LizChadertonArt
      @LizChadertonArt  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      that’s a very good point. on the plus side, even a fine spray are large droplets (relative to an aerosol), so they will not hang in the air. but yes, please be careful.

    Great video!!! Thanks for sharing this. How do you get the paint into the bottle though? I can’t figure out how you did this. 😊 thanks

    • @LizChadertonArt
      @LizChadertonArt  ปีที่แล้ว

      if you use tubes, take the top off and squeeze in the paint. if you use pans, load your brush and put it in the bottle. Dilute to required tone.

    So helpful! Thank you! One question or two…is there a quicker way to discover the blobbing kind of spray from the more even spray without filling each with paint and testing them? Do you fill them with liquid watercolors or water down a big portion from a tube and pour it into them? It would seem the paint would have to be very watery to go through the sprayer.

    • @LizChadertonArt
      @LizChadertonArt  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Sorry, no way of knowing without a little test. Just put water in and it is really obvious. Yes the paint is watery in the bottle, so I put in a little water and a small squeeze of colour, give it a shake and check I am happy with how strong the colour is. It doesn't take much colour.

    • @susanshisler7074

      I took two sheets of plain paper and two different water bottles, and sprayed a sample of plain water onto each sheet. Then I held the sheet under the light (lights under the kitchen cabinets) and I could tell how blobby or fine the spritzing was. Distance from the paper would also matter, I think. Good luck!
