I want to take a moment to thank you for your channel. It is one of the greatest channels I've ever come across on TH-cam. You are doing amazing work and I want you to know that it is truly appreciated.
I feel like an important viewpoint to add is that these are lies of an ego that is weighing heavily on your internal equilibrium. I like to think that if we all have an ego, then we were given it for a reason. Why would our creator design us with an internally destructive mechanism? That just doesnt make sense, so ego must be part of a larger system of internal checks and balances. Ego is really good when you need to disassociate yourself from logic to do something. When you need that boost of 'dumb confidence' like talking to someone you find attractive or asking a difficult question to someone you care about. But It goes back to the old saying "Everything in moderation, even moderation." A properly trained ego should work to support you. If your ego is telling you these lies, it's a sign that it needs to be trained more, dialed back and something else needs to be tuned up. The process of doing this is usually never as simple as turning some knobs or dials, however I just like to think of it from this perspective because it reminds me of machine learning so much. We are constantly training in life just like a model goes through training, we have internal parameters like ego, logic, etc. that each have different weights or "influence on the whole system" associated with them. Often if a model is performing poorly, it means it needs to be tuned, restructured, or it needs new data (aka new knowledge) in order to reorient itself to achieve better performance. For a person, new data often plays out as new experiences or philosophical perspectives that allow us to retrain our internal model of how to navigate life. Just a thought.
