HI and thanks very much. You can do either of two things. Add a drop down list of vehicles or add a list on the left side and when you select that vehicle, the details will show up. Just make sure you position the vehicle ID next to the vehicle in a column next to it. I hope this helps. Great Video Randy 👍 just one query, in the reminders log, instead of updating the same row how to add next reminder in the new row, so that we can see complete log of reminder events.

You can create as many reminders as you want, so for example if you want a monthly reminder, you can create a new row, copy all of the details from the original and add new reminder date and time, and then once that reminder is created you would then make sure to set a 'reminded on' date & time so that this reminder will not run again. Hey randy. The last formula would surely need the year to be dictated by the vehicle dashboard to and from dates. Otherwise if you put in last year's dates it'll still pull up this year's results

Hello Randy on the chart for the fuels we are getting the amount of fuel per vehicle but its more eficcient to put on that chart the qty of fuel per vehicle what do i change to get that on the chart?

Tried deleting the workbook and re downloading but still the same problem... perhaps something changed from the pt1
Hi Tony, thanks for letting me know. In the Vehicle_Add macro, move the .Range("B5").Value = True 'new Vehicle" up one row and this will fix the problem. This line should be before the clear contents. I have made the correction already and uploaded the new version. Thanks again, I do appreciate that.
Hi I have over a 100 vehicles so I am trying to add a drop down list instead of the vehicle list. I can add the drop down list with data validation but I can't seem to get the vehicle to change in the sheet. Can you explain the procedure please.
Hi and thanks very much. Once you change the vehicle in the drop down list, have another cell extract Vehicle ID using Index/Match formula. As long as the ID is returned, then place this ID in the correct cell, and run the macro to load. It would be nice if I could change the fuel cost chart back and fourth to show the Gallons or Liters used and also the MPG. How hard would this be to do. I am a beginner so can you update this video to show me how to do this it would be great. Enjoying learning new things in excel. Thanks

using a pulldown list to pick vehicle (have 100 Golf Carts to track) works great till I make a change. I get a #Value! in B4 and it causes error weird though, if I pick same vehicle # from pulldown then hit get vehicle button it works okay. How do I save the change without doing that. I know the change has taken place, I see it in the vehicle list sheet but I get error if I don't re-select the same vehicle # from my pull down list that I have in D5 which restore it in F6 which keeps B4 from getting the #Value! error instead of the DB row value it should have. Hope this isn't too confusing. Thanks

I got through part 1 and most of part two before I had to restart my computer and when I loaded up the workbook all of my macros were gone.... I'm over it.

I checked the VBA, tried to update the data link and checked Existing Connections on the Data Tab. No bueno, It looks to me like it may be a link to a file in your DropBox Account to a file Named "Vehicle_Expense_Tracker_Sample.xlsm". It is highly possible I missed something in the Premier tonight. Any suggestions?

Amazing video and excel. One thing, I wanted to hide the columns on the side of the dashboard, but as soon as I do that the graphs disappear.

Great Video Randy 👍 just one query, in the reminders log, instead of updating the same row how to add next reminder in the new row, so that we can see complete log of reminder events.

You can create as many reminders as you want, so for example if you want a monthly reminder, you can create a new row, copy all of the details from the original and add new reminder date and time, and then once that reminder is created you would then make sure to set a 'reminded on' date & time so that this reminder will not run again. Hey randy. The last formula would surely need the year to be dictated by the vehicle dashboard to and from dates. Otherwise if you put in last year's dates it'll still pull up this year's results

.Range("B5").Value = True 'new Vehicle"

Hi I have over a 100 vehicles so I am trying to add a drop down list instead of the vehicle list. I can add the drop down list with data validation but I can't seem to get the vehicle to change in the sheet. Can you explain the procedure please.
Hi and thanks very much. Once you change the vehicle in the drop down list, have another cell extract Vehicle ID using Index/Match formula.
As long as the ID is returned, then place this ID in the correct cell, and run the macro to load. (this is general advice as its been many years since i did this training)

using a pulldown list to pick vehicle (have 100 Golf Carts to track) works great till I make a change. I get a #Value! in B4 and it causes error
weird though, if I pick same vehicle # from pulldown then hit get vehicle button it works okay. How do I save the change without doing that.
I know the change has taken place, I see it in the vehicle list sheet but I get error if I don't re-select the same vehicle # from my pull down list
that I have in D5 which restore it in F6 which keeps B4 from getting the #Value! error instead of the DB row value it should have.

Hi Chris, I am sorry to hear about that. When saving workbooks with macros, please make sure to save them as an xlsm or xlsb type of file. Other formats will not save the macros (I wish this were not the case as well)
