I don't know why people keep day you get it from the chop shop. It does NOT come from there. You get it free from the first and last dose missions at the freakshop. To start this go to the yellow R in grapeseed. There's two of them if you haven't done them already. You want the one to the far right. Do those!as leader and you'll get that truck free.

Its not free, it costs $750,000, plus $250,000 for the upgrade. You have to do the first dose missions and 10 fooligan missions which are painful for beginners to unlock the lab, but I definitely don't regret getting it. I made back the million dollar investment within 2 days of playing the game.
