    There good units to have, pricy but defo worth it, been running one for 2 years now and wouldn't want to be with out it.
    The top port on the cover is for a charcoal filter which is only needed if you run ozone to kill off any ozone escaping out of it into the atmosphere.
    I used 3x 90 degree elbows in an inverted u shape on the waste out which the top of it is level with the top of the cone inside the head, will let the head fill up a few inches so you can see the density of the waste without needing a bucket so you can run it straight to the drain, if you ever want to empty the head just put your finger over the hole on top and it will all syphon out.

      Cheers for that info. Do you have a picture of your setup for reference.

      This is another good point given by a member of eXtremeProKoi that I’m going to apply. Quote ;
      ‘I've always had good results with my sander - be mindful of flow, less is more for the production of waste skimming.
      I've found longer contact time in the water column is beneficial, so using a vari pump is best. ‘
      So I just turned down water flow on blue eco 320 from 1500rpm @25watts to 1100rpm @15watts . I will now see if there is any improvement in what’s produced. . Will be interesting.

    One of the best protéines skimmers.
    But please put your airpump above the highest water level in the skimmer, (comunicating vessels)
    It avoids a lot of problems when you have a power lost.

      Thankyou. Not a lot really on Sander setup. But hoping I can give a bit more in sight on settings that work. Thanks for your in put.

    Interesting video, thought about those skimmers before myself, bloody expensive, but I've never seen anyone complain about one, where as the other brands seem to be a bit hit and miss 👍

      Early doors , but it seems to be removing waste already so I will see over next few days and update progress. 👍🏻

    In salt water micro bubbles work best. In fresh water does it not madder?

      I’m not sure but this unit seems to do it’s job.

    How much difference did you notice in water quality?

      @@rich81090 it takes a lot of muck out. So I would say better out than in. 😇
