I use to be as all of us, in the midst of life rushing ahead without caution. The first loss that led me on a similar outlook as this song related to me was the death of mother. She had been taken violently and the institutions and structures I believed in failed to bring those responsible to justice. I lost not only my belief in this things but the things I thought would never be compromised such as family values were shattered. The morals and integrity over time betrayed. Relationships smashed and left to ruin and truly that sting is venomous and is the poison that is felt. I hope I make it and like Joey Ramone be an eternal optimist.
