You think you have that time before the front kick lands in your head, assuming the opponent has some training and isn't oblivious to you dropping down on your knees in front of him... Think how fast a front kick to your opponents leg is. Then think how long it takes for you to drop down and extend your leg, not even talking about dropping another hand to the ground and gaining the spinning momentum.

I think it’s better to try and get your leg behind your opponent and then go for a trip, only because the time it takes to spin back is enough time for someone to already have a punch ready.
You should add when sweep kick up a bit and step a tiny bit back after just in case you are not confident in taking them down but I don’t do any martial art just a idea I guess
