Few things: The audio in this game is all over the place lol so I've been trying my best to adjust accordingly during gameplay. So apologies if the audio is too loud or quiet in some areas!
I have no knowledge of the software you are using, but from audio engineering perspective you would need a compressor to create an average between soft and loud

You can change the channel at the "TV program" and "ad" at the start of the game by pressing any button. You can watch other stuff during that time, including an "interview" with David Hayter. (EDIT: oh, you figured that out)
I still can't get over the fact that, the only way to play this game, is to play it on the ps3. Which is sad cause this game is such a cinematic masterpiece in my opinion!

Love the fact that if u want to play this game you have to do it on it's original hardware. Your game is definitely playing up and I don’t mean the frame rate. Throughout the game various cutscenes give you a first-person view by pressing L1, like in Snake Eater. One was when blood dripped on you, another was just before the Gekko crushed the watermelons (the box said “NO PLACE TO HIDEO” 🙃). My suggestion is hold L1 through all the cutscenes and move the joystick to see all the Easter Eggs Still, keep pressing X. You get Drebin points!
The commercial-like cutscenes were meant to be a message about consumerism and how it's having an extremely negative impact on our societies, especially when those ads are glamorizing war and how it's now waged purely for profit.
You can actually change the channels at the intro with the d-pad. All of the shows are completely insane (except a nature documentary about an octopus xD)
Brings back memories of missing and returning to Solid Snake. After the unforgettable MGS1, he is then kind of sidelined for Raiden in part 2, and part 3 is Big Boss. MGS4 finally comes and we're Solid Snake again, but he's... so old. Tired. And in the start screen, at the grave, he is just done 😭 What happened to our man!? I had goosebumps. This game is a masterpiece and amazing homage to all MGS and Snake. Enjoy!! 🥲✌
Unfortunately your PC (I assume you are emulating this) is not strong enough to get a stable performance. Since you went down that route, you will have to put up with low framerates. You need a top-tier CPU to handle this game right now, unfortnately.

You could have used SE's Night Vision during that basement run. It drains battery faster but you can see where you're going much easier.
