You’re supposed to rotate the mold 90 degrees each time, that’s why you can see all the separations between the mold pours and it looks repetitive. Read the directions!
Ive heard people using 1 80lb bad per mold, you say two molds per bag. I have th same mold so how much water did you add per bag. I’m sorry, your look awesome. I have had the mold for years. Time to put it to work. Thanks in advance.

1;55 Did I hear you right? 2 x 80lb bags of concrete will fill 8 molds? That would be 1 x 80lb bag filling 4 molds or 20lbs of concrete per mold. That seems way off to me
I will double check the video, but 1 80lbs bag gave me two molds and I had a little bit left over. So with two bags you will have 4-5 molds depending on what is under the mold. You can also add some gravel into each cavity to make the most of it. One thing to consider too is the size of the mold, I used 19.6"x19.6"x1.7" molds here: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DN8N2MS
How is this holding up? Is there any erosion or issues that have come up? I'm thinking about doing this for a large 20 by 10 patio, but since traditional concrete has rebar, I'm wondering how strong and stable the walkmaker process produces.
So far so good and I've had my car parked on it a few times as well. I had a few spaces around the pergola posts that I filled with gravel and I'd recommend against doing that since weeds start to pop up here and there. Otherwise still doing great!
Great question, I used a bunch of gravel on top of the dirt, I layer a base of about 2 inches or gravel and leveled it a bit, then I compacted it with a ~250lbs compactor, for quite a bit while also wetting it to helpnit settle. Then I repeated it again with an additional 2 inches of gravel which I leveled more than the first. One of the mistakes I made is not spending enough time on leveling, highly suggest taking your time on that step since it will have a great impact on the final product.

@@mikesgarage5066 I didn't walk on it for a day, and you don't let it sin in the mold a long time at all. This video got cut a bit short, but basically once the top is smooth, just pull the mold out right away. To pull the mold up, just tap it on all the sides with the handle of the trowel until the concrete loosens up from the mold and pull straight up. Don't let the mold sit on there for very long, otherwise it will get stuck to the concrete and it will be tough to pull it up without damaging the concrete.
yea I ended up putting about 3" of gravel before putting this in. The trick is to get it compacted right, so rent a compactor and compress it a bunch of times to make it even and flat.

This was about 9'x 14' and we went through about two pallets. Thr best thing to do would be to check the size of the mold you are planning to use and see how many mold tiles it will be in length and width. Then check to see how many molds you can fill with a bag. Make sure you check the mold size though, because some patterns come in multiple sizes.

What do you use to fill in between the lines of the cracks once the molding is all done?
You can use some regular, or polymeric sand. I have a few more videos on this too I think.

What type of mix did you use...doing a project
Why don't you make the concrete more like cake mixture so you can pour it in? That way it will be self levelling and easier to work with
I think that then the form would be messed up as soon as I would remove the mold.
I wanted to do this under my car port at my house. Is this strong enough to hold a vehicle?
Yea it should be strong enough to hold up a regular vehicle or a truck, but double check the instructions on the concrete.

It is. It takes a little over a 60 lb bag. Also I never once had to spray it with spam or anything. I just rinsed it off after each mold.

What's that spray for?
It was to make the mold come off easier, but if you pull it off early enough, you don't need the spray
What did you do to prep the ground? Did you lay a paver base or any sand down? Or did you just level the dirt as best you could?

How thick did you pour the gravel layer?
Sorry for late reply, it was about 4 inches total done in 2" layers
