  • Dogs love these @NativePet Yak Chews, but what about those potential choking hazards brought about by some of our more voracious chewers (and swallowers)? Here's how to still let your enthusiastic pup enjoy their favorite Yak Chews without worrying about an airway obstruction. Dogs LOVE the end result of this so much that many boutique pet stores sell what I make in the video in addition to Yak Chews - Yak puffs! 😋 🐶

    We dont have a microwave, do you think i could soak it then bake it or put it in the air fryer?

    • @SaraOndrako
      @SaraOndrako  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Oooh good question! Worth a shot. I imagine baking would have the same effect, just take longer so maybe monitor it closely with your oven light on to see how long it takes. BTW - love that you don’t have a microwave!! 😊

    How long did it take her to eat that whole chew befor you microwaved it?

    • @SaraOndrako
      @SaraOndrako  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Great question! I let her chew it for about 20 minutes at a time then trade her for a treat or toy. Generally she'll chew on it 3 or 4 more times before I take the smaller leftover piece and microwave it :) You can grab some with the link below if you want to try them, or visit Native Pet's site and get 20% off name dropping at checkout - saraondrako 😊wholedog.myshopify.com/products/native-pet-yak-chews

      I've used a saw before but it's not easy - better to let them gnaw it down first and use the smaller pieces to make Yak Puffs with :)

      bro what are you people on 😂 I literally cannot take this seriously. Have you been in a single science class in the last decade? You encounter more radiation from going outside in the sun than you remotely would from the microwave. Food does not retain ANY radiation waves from the microwave. As long as you or your dog is not staring at the microwave while it's on, there would be no adverse effects. And even if you happen to stare at the microwave while it's on, it's no worse than going outside when the sun is out. I recommend utilizing the World Health Organization (WHO) and other scholarly journals to help educate yourself on the topic

  • @Steveyo

    The device doesn’t stop the dog swallowing big bits at all. This is a joke. Good attempt at a product. I give my dog chews to keep him occupied, they came from the wild if your trying to help them chew their food and provide a product to cover them in cotton wool, you might as well get a chiwawa and a handbag and breast feed it.

    Lmao "trade my pup"? My husky actually listens to and respects me. He will literally allow me to eat half his food and take things out his mouth. Not that i would take advantage of that but im just saying. If your dog sees u as only a provider of food? Then sucks for u...that dog most likely doesn't love u. It's called survival 😂. And a screwdriver for a treat toy seems a bit excessive...but i wouldn't ever expose my dog to the UNNECESSARY radiation of a microwave. So...🤷‍♀️ moot point i guess. This is the sole reason why I'm so very, very careful with advice I find online. I already know by this video alone what kinda owner this lady is..ijs

      you encounter more radiation from going outside in the sun than you remotely would from the microwave... and i hope you at least let your dog outside lmao. Either way, food does not retain ANY radiation waves from the microwave. As long as your dog is not staring at the microwave while it's on, there would be no adverse effects. Maybe you should do more scholarly research instead of using "advice [you] find online"
