    I often make long trips across Europe, and just came back from the longest I ever made (9000+ km). I would say the Germany is the most miserable country to drive, and I avoid it every time I reasonably can. I am not surprised at all to see what was your experience when attempting to cross it in one go. Hope you'll have a better luck next time!

    What a nightmare trip. We are just back from Germany, visiting friends in Köln. But we took the vw camper van. It was interesting because we stopped just as often on the way to the ferry (7 hours driving down to England) as we would in the Enyaq. The enyaq wouldn't need to charge on that journey and the VW didn't need to refill the tank but we humans needed to stop and have breaks. I would have loved to take the enyaq but my wife wanted the camper van so we could use it for picnics etc but we've agreed next trip is all electric!
    And you know that if you buy a little box you can have Netflix, Disney plus etc in your enyaq? There's a video on my enyaq channel showing how it works.

      Thanks for the feedback. I know about those boxes but refused to test one. Maybe I should change my mind about that :)

    Too bad you and your wife had such a bad drive back home. I would become angry too. During holiday seasons, driving at night is the only way to drive more than 1000km in an acceptable timeframe. At least that’s my decades long experience. I love driving at night. Empty roads and traffic jams are rare. Average speed is optimal.
    With my Enyaq I drive more relaxed (slower) anyway and the charging stops take multiple hours in total. That’s why nowadays we drive during daylight and always plan an overnight stop when the destination is over 1000km away.
    And you know what the upside is? An extra half a day of driving, which I like😊
    It’s funny (not really 😉) that you keep struggling with the Enyaq charge planning. No matter what Enyaq or software level. Thank you for confirming my decision to always use ABRP when driving long distance. I also prefer Ionity (and some others) and avoid Tesla which I configured in ABRP. When possible, it plans my charging stops perfectly using my preferences.

      Thanks for your feedback. Next time we'll try driving at night although my wife is not such a fan of driving in the dark.

    I do this 1300 Km in one go every summer and christmas holidays from Zurich to south of Barcelona, it takes me around 15-18 hours dependent on traffic in France, with four family members and the dog, it is not a big deal. With 3.0-3.7 sw it is slower in the winter due to no-preheating, also Skoda navigation is a mess due to wrong recharging stops, filters doesn´t help that much neither I keep using ABRP. This year trip was pretty good 13:00 h driving time, average speed 94 km/h, avg consumption was good 18.5 kwh/100 km. First half of the trip was raining with temps around 20c and the second half was dry with temps around 30C.

      @@electrifiedspeicher Came back this weekend, heavier traffic in France, lower average, 89 km/h, but higher consumption 19.2 kwh/100, outside temps where higher, around 30C, car was set on ECO both trips.

    That was a sad trip.. I just get back from Austria to Poland Near Stettin (app 1000 km) - did that in Enyaq Founders Edition with 3.7 soft and it was a very please a experience - I was suprised about the range - was setting all manual and did not use build in sat nav because it is useless for planing. Mostly I have covered with Ionity (Austria and Czech Republic) and Aral In Germany - did that in 4 stops (17 min, 40 min with lunch) 19 minutes and 10 minutes. It took us 11h14m and the biggest challange was uphill driving - U need to be aware that one way it will eat Your battery and downhill it will return it (but looking uphill was kind of stressfull 😂).

    Hello Matthias, unfortunately this can happen on the Autobahn. Last year I drove from NL to DK (west coast near/to Legoland) with similar experience. We drove back in the night which was much better (although the kids do not like this).
    Chargeplanning in the Skoda I also do not like due not possible to filter on chargers. I use ABRP for planning and execution on Apple Maps/Google Maps. ABRP will use to alter in case needed for consumption. Traffic info not so good on ABRP and the Carplay integration is a bit laggy in some cases.

    Hello Matthias, just a question, Skoda say the Enyaq vRS only has full 340 brake horsepower at above 88% SOC, I’m curious if your car scanner can show what the BHP drops to when you drop below that level? Thanks

    • @electrifiedspeicher
      @electrifiedspeicher  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      That's just for their own legal safety. I already did a video on this with the older version (my 80x) but you can basically say that this applies to the new RS as well. The video is available on my German channel in English (did it before I forked my channel): th-cam.com/video/kAfA-UsZaeI/w-d-xo.html
      There is no fixed level because it depends on more than SoC. Second key factor is the temperature of the battery. 88% is the value for the worst possible situation and therefore they go with it.

      Simply because I do not have winter available right know and the MY24 since May 24...so I stood no chance of doing this in winter. But winter will come and a long roadtrip is already planned...but we have to wait till winter
