I have to explain something that Diana said in a TV interview - She explained that when she performs she isn't really aware of what she's singing or what's happening around her or even what she says between performances! Almost as if she "goes somewhere else" while performing! She watches a video of the performance(s) after so she can see if she made any mistakes or where she can improve and how she spoke between performances. She also said in another TV interview "In principle, if you don't sing with your soul, you probably don't sing." This is just a tiny glimpse into her genius. She definitely "goes somewhere else" just before she starts singing - watch her performances carefully - then she appears again after the song is finished. I've watched this incredible phenomenon many times with Diana and I can't explain it any other way than like a top actor who "becomes" the character - Diana "becomes" the song, climbing inside and experiencing the emotions just as the writer of the lyrics intended? Yes, that is her voice. And you're wright to think that her tone of voice it's similar to Cher... Their bone structure makes that resonance sound of their amazing well trained laringe. Vocal cords is another thing, without a very well trained laringe muscle (like Dimash) they would not be so fantastic and exclusive singers. I think in this voice contest she was 15 yo. ( born 31/May/2003)... she has a very sad and dramatic life history... Lukelly, after so much, she had her chance to work, educated and be like this. Russian and Asian music schools are the best and the more exigent of the world. Only the best raw jewels are admitted. Be amazed by this wonderful child. Diana was nervous here. She has done this song multiple times now (so she has perfected it) and I think the one at The Kremlin is the best out of all of them (but that could just be from the stage effects). The PERFORMANCE at the Kremlin was my favorite anyway, all the way around. :)

Ok, I can translate what she is saying. She is saying "please, please stop watching these reaction videos and just watch me. Let yourself feel my music and decide how it moves you. Let's start with the basic question of how you first came across Diana? (Anyone willing to venture it was from a reaction video?) The second question is, how many of Andrea's 13k subscribers had never heard of this singer until they saw her do a reaction to her and, how many new subs did Andrea gain by doing the reaction video vs how many would she have gained had she not? So instead of you subjecting yourself to what you obviously abhor, here are several singers who, like this young singer have worked hard and show great mastery of their instrument that you can check out sans a reaction except from yourself. - Floor Jansen, specifically her performances on the Dutch TV show Beste Zangers (try her solo of "Shallow"). - Haley Reinhart, so much material to choose from, but let's go with "7 Nation Army" to start. - Morgan James, start with "Dream On" - Niia, feat also with PostModern Jukebox or, like all of these artists on their own channels, try "Sideline". - Carsey Blanton, "Jacket" - Home Free, "Man of Constant Sorrow" or "Folsom Prison Blues". At the age of three in the middle of Russia's far northern Winter she was abandoned, injured, at a bus stop where she was rescued and sent to an orphanage. At the age of 5 she was still traumatized and unable to speak properly. A massage therapist who visited the orphanage trying to help kids, was the first to recognize something special in this little girl, and eventually adopted her. Diana was sent for singing lessons because it was thought that this might help her learn to speak without impediment.
Only two years later she started singing in local theater, and in street plays and performances. And soon after was entered in a Russian TV music competition for disadvantaged children. By the age of 10 she was winning local competitions, singing on live TV shows, and her songs started showing up on TH-cam. Two months ago, at the age of 18, her first performance during a new Russian television competition with several other renowned performers, has gone viral and has garnered hundreds of TH-cam 'reaction' videos, and millions of viewers.
Her first song at the competition, an entirely new take on Elvis Presley's 'Can't Help Falling in Love with You' has been called mesmerizing, transcendental and other-worldly...it highlights her uniquely deep voice, and effortless range from low to high, along with her trademark dramatic and passionate interpretation. Yes, that is her voice. And you're wright to think that her tone of voice it's similar to Cher... Their bone structure makes that resonance sound of their amazing well trained laringe. Vocal cords is another thing, without a very well trained laringe muscle (like Dimash) they would not be so fantastic and exclusive singers. I think in this voice contest she was 15 yo. ( born 31/May/2003)... she has a very sad and dramatic life history...
Lukelly, after so much, she had her chance to work, educated and be like this. Russian and Asian music schools are the best and the more exigent of the world. Only the best raw jewels are admitted.

Igor is a famous composer that politely waited till the end to hit his button so as not to interrupt the song. He often dose compositions & arrangments for Dimash.
Have you ever seen the original artist's version of Dernier Danse? She goes by Indila. She's also amazing, obviously with a different sound than Diana has and totally worth checking out!
You should react to the original version by Indila, which is also outstanding.

Diana was nervous here. She has done this song multiple times now (so she has perfected it) and I think the one at The Kremlin is the best out of all of them (but that could just be from the stage effects). The PERFORMANCE at the Kremlin was my favorite anyway, all the way around. :)
There are aboriginal singers in Canada who use the throat singing and demonstrate the double notes as well. The effect is created by a harmonic echo. Igor Krutoy is one of her biggest sponsors and is also the composer of many of Dimash’s songs. He has indicated that he waits for Diana to finish so that he doesn’t distract her. JFC O'Rourke, all you've done with your comment is expose your total ignorance on the subject. For someone who has never created any content it's apparent. Let's start with the basic question of how you first came across Diana? (Anyone willing to venture it was from a reaction video?) The second question is, how many of Andrea's 13k subscribers had never heard of this singer until they saw her do a reaction to her and, how many new subs did Andrea gain by doing the reaction video vs how many would she have gained had she not?
With regard to doing a reaction, wtf do you know about what it takes to create content based around someone else's copywritten material so that it doesn't get blocked 🚫 from being published and is able to fall within the province of "fair use"? (Anyone willing to venture it is zero, zip, nada?) Reactors worth their salt are going to provide a link because they want you to go view the original video in its whole since it supports the artist.
While you are not alone in complaining about the hoops reactors have to jump through, it's rather disingenuous on your part to think, let alone say, that you know what is in the mind of the artist with regard to reaction videos and especially trying to do so to justify your bitching reaction to a reaction video. Just because you find yourself willingly living in a paradox doesn't mean the artist feels that way. For one, it's free publicity, especially for an independent artist who has no corporate sponsorship. Secondly, though not in this specific instance, the artist that owns their own music gets paid by any revenue generated by these reaction videos, usually not the content maker.
So instead of you subjecting yourself to what you obviously abhor, here are several singers who, like this young singer have worked hard and show great mastery of their instrument that you can check out sans a reaction except from yourself.
- Floor Jansen, specifically her performances on the Dutch TV show Beste Zangers (try her solo of "Shallow").
- Haley Reinhart, so much material to choose from, but let's go with "7 Nation Army" to start.
- Morgan James, start with "Dream On"
- Niia, feat also with PostModern Jukebox or, like all of these artists on their own channels, try "Sideline".
- Carsey Blanton, "Jacket"
- Home Free, "Man of Constant Sorrow" or "Folsom Prison Blues".
So stop blaming the messenger and go do the heavy lifting yourself. Perhaps you'll find yourself wanting to publish a reaction to one of them.
