yes! keeping an organized inventory is a great idea. it would also be really cool if they could keep records of the fish as well. like when/where they were caught & the size they were when first caught, etc.
might be a lot for them to upkeep once set up, but i bet if they set up a google docs some fans would be more than willing to keep it updated for them!

I would suggest putting an easy access structure for the turtles to climb onto so they can sunbathe, it'd be good for their health, especially for shells, such as that one with the algae covered shell

You have to just start the mystery pond over and restock it with just about anything you don't know what to do with again. This is super cool but every scoop is different and your collection grows
You should have a tilapia tank! I know you hate them, but it could be every now and then you get tilapias, you put them in there and later feed them to your fish! You have probably already thought of it, but just a little idea!

fish eggs can attach to lily leaves or the nets and you could introduce the eggs into your ponds by accident, easily done but overlooked by most people

The catfish with the eel like tail looks like a wallago attu. They are a great fish for an oddball themed tank! The other catfish looks like an irwini catfish. also a great fish to keep

Rob and you need to inventory your fish. Have a database for each pond/pool/tank on your property and keep track of when stuff gets added or moved.
