Jersey Boys (2014) - CLIP (3/5): "Cry For Me" Director: CLINT EASTWOOD Cast: JOHN LLOYD YOUNG, ERICH BERGEN, MICHAEL LOMENDA, VINCENT PIAZZA, JOEY RUSSO
I remember watching this in theaters when it came out with my father. This was his favorite group of all time, just watching him sing to practically every song that came on the movie always made me smile. memories will always be remained.
I lived in the timeframe that I first heard “Sherry” at lunchtime in high school in 1963. Saw them live in concert 7 times. Still, at 75, will never get over the love of this group. They have been in my life, in memories, from ‘63 to today ‘2022’!
Born in 86, and still feel I was born in the wrong era. That must’ve been a hell of a time to be in high school! Coming from an Italian family, their songs were played all the time in our house. So they’ve been in my life since birth.
So I auditioned for an opera company about 6 months ago. I chose this song because it was Bobs audition song, and I thought it’d be great to sing since it’s in my vocal range. They also asked me to sing one more song I chose, which was Volare by Dean Martin, and 2 weeks later I got a call back saying that they wanted me on board. It was the best day of my life and it’s thanks to this song that it was able to happen
Imagine if you were in this lounge during this actual moment? Seeing the group come together. Epic. Wonderful Broadway show, great movie and a wonderful group. Glad my mom introduced me to this music when I was young.
@@roccotirotta2737 actually the quote is exactly how I wrote it ! Check the bowling alley scene when they tried to play the gig before they landed on four seasons!
Best moment in the musical and in the film. This is when they first find that sound, and discover how they were all meant to be a group. Nostalgic yet happy :’) It was just them and the music then.
RIP the two members of The Four Seasons Nick Massi (September 19, 1927 - December 24, 2000), aged 73 Tommy DeVito (June 19, 1928 - September 21, 2020), aged 92 You both will be remembered as legends
There is something so captivatingly romantic listening to theses guys sing this song, and at the same time their voices are completely alluring. It's kind of like talking a walk down memory lane through my parents eyes. I can picture my own parents dressed up to the nines , with theses butterflies feelings as they danced to music of the Jersey Boys and other incredible Artists of this era as all the while falling deeply in love❣️❣️❣️❣️
Bob Gaudio was the Four Seasons secret weapon! And this scene is my favorite in the movie! It reminds me of the scene in Rocketman when Elton John first plays Your Song for Bernie Taupin
if it wasn't for joe pesci we wouldn't be hearing these tunes today. Even if joe was no tough gangster in real life, he did grow up in jersey and knew and helped alot of people in the music industry. He had connections. He himself player guitar in several bands and introduced bob to the 4 seasons. He is a talented musician and an actor who helped alot of people along the way.
Here's an appropriate quote from a Trace Adkins song: "You're gonna miss this. You're gonna want this back. You're gonna wish these days hadn't gone by so fast. These are some good times. So, take a good look around. You may not know it now, but you're gonna miss this." It seemed fitting, given what Frankie said in his Hall of Fame speech.
I cried for you Now cry for me No, no, I don't love you anymore Cry for me Well, you had your fun (Don't go, baby) With someone new (Don't go, baby) Now you want me to take you back (Don't go, baby) We're all through 'Cause now I'm leaving No, no, make believin' You made a fool of me So now I'm leaving you Loved you so (Don't go, baby) Much more than you'll ever know (Don't go, baby) But you just cheated and you lied (Don't go, baby) Go and cry for me Well you, knew it from the start Someday you'd break my heart Now we're all through So cry, cry for me (Won't you cry for me baby) Just the way I cried for you (Won't you cry for me baby) Just the way I cried for you So go on and cry, cry for me
From some of the comments I am reading, you never were raised in the 40’s,50’s or 60’s. This type of music going through 2 tours in Vietnam. I love his music and this song when I hear it brings back to the good times I had growing up except being in Vietnam... The funny part, is he is still performing.... Every one has their choice of music, I happen to love Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, and this song...
Big age difference in the band. Nick Massi born. 1927. Bob born in 1942. You see bands. They're all young. They all went to school together. Or were friends. I love the seasons. Since I'm little. 43 now. Seen Frankie in concert 15 times. Got to talk to Joe long once. They're just so great.

I love this song. Both of you sing this song so perfectly.

Fav 🖤 next to " my eyes adored you "
My fave song in Jersey Boys!!
I cried for you
Now cry for me
No, no, I don't love you anymore
Cry for me
Well, you had your fun
(Don't go, baby)
With someone new
(Don't go, baby)
Now you want me to take you back
(Don't go, baby)
We're all through
'Cause now I'm leaving
No, no, make believin'
You made a fool of me
So now I'm leaving you
Loved you so
(Don't go, baby)
Much more than you'll ever know
(Don't go, baby)
But you just cheated and you lied
(Don't go, baby)
Go and cry for me
Well you, knew it from the start
Someday you'd break my heart
Now we're all through
So cry, cry for me
(Won't you cry for me baby)
Just the way I cried for you
(Won't you cry for me baby)
Just the way I cried for you
So go on and cry, cry for me
I saw this on my recommendations glad I clicked
