Tag analysis. That I see it, Tag is "rat shy" because she is getting bit on her mouth. At about 15 minutes, Tag catches a rat, by it's rear. The rat is clamped on her cheek, as Tag try's to throw it. At 16 we see her get a freebie after Joe steps on a rat. Tag once again grab at the rear of the rat, the rat then proceeds to bite her mouth, Leia now has the rat, tugs on it causing Tag to cry in pain. Basically Tag's issue is circular... she continues to go for the belly of the rats, gets bit, and this is driving her to go more for the belly... which actually making it easier for the rats to bite her. I see her as torn between wanting to please her master and getting her face ripped off.
@@Arman_Ali66 I trust Joe to be responsible in his choices if he decides to have Bindi bred; he's not the type to allow a sickly, garbage-gene'd dog into his animals' bloodlines. If he does, then whatever dog he picks will be exemplary; genetically healthy, intelligent, and with all the physical traits he's looking for.
I keep poultry and after watching your videos I know it is essential to keep clutter to a minimum and feed inaccessible. I haven’t seen a rat near the chickens in a couple years now.
Big improvement in Tag. She’s a running dog not a terrier so is bound to be slower to mature. The other dogs are so fast she does well to catch anything. Excellent video, keep them coming.
Tag has definitely made huge improvements out of the puppy stage and is more focused on the killing than the throwing of the prey. Before too long will give Bindi a run for top spot
The girls are such a big help!! It’s amazing to watch you guys in action now. I love the old videos too, but being able to see it from beginning to now is beautiful. Bindi is a beast. Every time she puts a rat in the bucket it reminds me of Sherni. I love being able to share in you guys journey cuz I enjoy the fulfillment in pest control. ❤ it!
These dogs are some of the happiest dogs alive when they are on the job site. The minks are probably loving it all too. Little search and destroyer fur missiles.
For an inexperienced ratter, Juno is a natural at ratting, the numbers don't lie. With more ratting time and under Joe's guidance, Juno will help the team immensely imo. For full efficiency, Joe just needs 5 Bindi's.🤣
Just saw a video about a HUGE rat problem along the bus transit system in Tampa Bay. These rats are running around, bold as can be, in broad daylight. I immediately thought this was a job for the minkman!!
It’s good to see Tag catching and dispatching rats now Joseph, great job by all involved, and I found it very interesting to watch how Sabre killed the last one under the shed, every time the rat faces him he backs off then attacked at at the right moment, amazing, tfs x Julie 🇬🇧
I don't know how youtube decided I needed to see your vids but they've been so wonderful to watch- your dogs are so happy and healthy and fulfilled, its just a joy to see. When I was young, we had a pitbull-rhodesian ridgeback mix living on our large country property who, aside from coloration and ridge, looked so much like Bindi its almost surreal. Bindi is the first time I've seen a pitbull or pitbull mix as strong, lean, and healthy as him- if anyone doubts the condition of your dogs, I'd say to just look at their rear legs. Those powerful muscles are how you know a dog isn't skinny but Fit What your doing is an excellent balance of both natural- no pesticides, no introducing an invasive predator to the local environment- and Effective at controlling an invasive and destructive species. Ferreting but with native minks along with ratting dogs is particularly brilliant keep up the good fight Mink Man!
Where's the fabulous Gypsy? Haven't seen her lately.... I miss her! Bindi is an amazing, really smart and intuitive hunter. Watching her work selflessly is one of my favorite parts of these videos ❤
Great production, start to finish, both on the job itself and then afterwards in making this video- Joe, dogs, mink, and family all at the top of their games. Tag shows moments of weakness but also moments of promise. Great to see the old girl Leia still regularly notching kills. And Bindi is just Queen of your pack.
Great video! 👍🏻 I love it when the kids are involved ( and your family is amazing) I'm very impressed with that little juno dog as well and was wondering how she's bred... She doesn't look like she's off the Old spike dog like the amazing Bindi 💪🏻
@@JosephCartertheMinkMan thanks for that, I appreciate it. She's certainly a fine example of a hard working bulldog! Really holds true to the old Jerry clemmons looking dogs 🐶. Beautiful 😍
I still want another Sherni breed of dog. She was just so smart and so wonderful with the family. I will never forget ‘Bucket’. R.I.P Sherni and Boss ❤
Hi from Vancouver Island Canada! My great niece carries her reborn doll around with her all the time. Of course when she is in school then she leaves it at home.
I'm not going to lie yesterday I was saying how come I haven't received any new uploads so I double check my notification Bell just to make sure it was on I love this channel it's amazing
I love how beautifully trained your dogs are; too many dogs, hunting dogs or not, would have snapped at the fleeing chicken because it triggered their catch-the-prey instincts. Had a good giggle at the chicken for bolting when the dogs rushed into the shed, tho! 🐔: _Oh, cluck this; I'm outta here!!_ 🤣🤣🤣
Well done, Jo and family. You are doing a great job. I wish you would show more mink work, but it's always fun watching your channel I also think you might need to change your intro to include your family Jo Carter and his minking girls the best pestcontrol family
The dogs are cool but when they’re working with the Minks at the same time, that’s incredible. The most amazing thing is how quick the dogs will step over the minks to get the rats & always knows the difference. I’m astonished.
Your dogs are amazing! 👏 we had three dogs (gave our husky to another family a mouth ago) when there was a rat in the house we brought the dogs in and the only one that didn't run away and catched the rat was our chihuahua 😂 she was braver than the big dogs. Right now we took in a Blue heeler under our care, found her in the school outside all skinny. Poor thing, she's slowly gaining weight and looks much happier with us 😊❤
I have commented on quite a few of your videos & I'm aware I may sound critical at times but I am never critical to be petty because I am seriously in awe of your relationship with your dogs & mink. You seem genuinely to have a connection with them, especially the dogs that is almost on an instinctive level of communication. To me that is something that cannot be learned. I am curious though, the state of disrepair & chaotic messiness that some of these farms/premises are in. Do your dogs ever get injured? I know dogs are tough but seeing jagged metal edges, sharp points etc & the way the dogs charge in I am amazed they come away in one piece sometimes. You obviously love your dogs & I know you would not knowingly endanger them but man, sometimes you must look at these places and think is it worth the risk. Is assessing the risk of injury to your animals (and you and yours) a part of the job. Forgive me if it's a silly question, just genuinely interested.
@@JosephCartertheMinkMan that's good to know. I guess part of that is the hunting instinct, having the natural ability to pick the best line of attack while avoiding potential injury. Bindi is incredible at that, she is an absolute machine but with personality 👍
I think you need another bindi girl. I see some puppies in her future! Tag just cracks me up. The farmer really got into the hunt after watching the dogs and your girls not being afraid. Awesome video!

Boss and Bindi would have been an unstoppable duo

yes, over and over again, the poor sanitation and neglect are the causes of the vermin infestation

The control that these dogs have and their ability to drop their catch when asked shows how well trained they are.
