Nah. There's only 3 options and they're hard carried by Milady as the only infusible one. Relannaçs are 🗑️ on a RL 150 build and Ledas is decent I guess. Personally I think Great Katanas are better as a category because they all are useful for RL150, have better AoW and have a purpose. I wish both classes had at least 5-6 options because they're both some of my favorite in the entire game and it'd be great to have a few more options to choose from.
Its really a shame that Flails, Perfume Bottles, Throwing Blades, and Whips are so underpowered. They have such an awesome idea that just fell flat. Here's hoping for some meaningful changes to those weapon types.
Great katanas in C tier is a sin... less ashes of war available than normal katanas but the poke attacks and the light attack combo can stagger almost any humanoid enemy in PVE, and I kept a great katana build in my back pocket for all the dlc and they came in handy more than the backhand blades or colossal weapons. I feel like just because we only have 3 that doesnt mean there isnt diversity..
The milady is an S tier weapon. It’s as fast as a straight sword, better moveset, has more range and hits harder and works in much more situations. There isn’t 1 boss the milady isn’t good for. I call it my boss killer. Every other weapon that struggles I put back on this weapon and get it done. I also am talking about hitless fights. I don’t trade. I don’t spam ashes. Other weapons just don’t compare to it. To me it’s the best weapon in the game and this is after 2200+ hours and multiple challenge runs. A tier not even close. It’s a high skill weapon that gets better the better you get with it.
@@maciekprokop3780 it comes with impaling thrust on it and while it is one of my favorite ash’s from the base game I can’t take Wing Stance off this thing. It works very good and looks good. I ran this on a quality build and it’s plenty strong. I don’t worry about scaling numbers.
@@maciekprokop3780 I break stance all the time with it. But I also don’t just use ashes. Impaling does about as much stagger damage as the heavy wing stance. Both similar to charged heavies also. Impaling is fast though I’ve used it the most out of any other ashes in the game it’s very good but wing stance to me is made for that weapon. I love both of the them. Light and heavy. The range on the heavy is crazy far. Much further than impaling. Is slower but it doesn’t change how I use it.
Great spears are only poking on every attack? Most have a sweeping R2 to them unlike only 3 spears (iirc). Also, guardian swordspear is a halberd. Though i guess most people don't know what the moveset on Mogh spear is besides the L2.😂
id like to add curved greatswords at the top as well (i was saddend by its omission ) fairly quick, good range & swings wide ( if you swing one you WILL hit something) great for mobs & bosses alike. Not to mention bloodhounds fang , beat Darriwil in the gaol & you got yourself a surfboard to the endgame right there
Colossal weapons should definitely be rated higher, these check all boxes you mentioned. You didn't consider the deflecting hard tear. Using a proper colossal - like giant crusher - with the deflecting tear makes one of the most powerful, unique and skillful playstyle ever in Elden ring especially in the DLC when you can deflect the fast boss combos for the bonus 80% counter damage. Add the reasons you mentioned previously and these weapons are defiinitely S tier.
Kinda confusing to me, The tier list is about how good weapons are but he seems to be taking how fun the weapon is into heavy account. I agree spears are boring but they have some of the best range, speed and AOW in the game. Not sure it should be in B. If this is a how fun and badass a weapon feels tier list then I understand the placement completely.
Did you know some weapons have a special animation if you do the first charge heavy and hit roll at the same time? Just found that out. So far only great katanas and curved swords. The curved sword does a back flip

@@C_O_N_C_E_P_T Anything before NG3 is just way too easy in my opinion for the true challenge you need to get NG3 and beyond. That is why when talking about true stance breaking potential, you would need bosses at their best and NG7 is bosses at their best.
@@topdeckhelix8450hmm, I don’t think you seen an experience player main beast claws if you believe that. But you need a lot of stamina for them if you want to be good. Completely insane with a light row build and good stamina recovery.

I'd put light greatswords in A tier. Not only are they really good on their own, they also do well with status build up and stance damage.

FromSoft loves curved sword. I did my first Dark Souls 3 run after Elden Ring, took the class with Curved Sword, game is pretty neat with them

The Gransax spear trivializes so many “tough” mini boss encounters that it far outpaces its tier placement.
