I really enjoyed hearing your insights! Not only the dance, but the live performance aspects as well. Jimin has shown in behind the scenes that he pays attention to how camera work impacts choreos. Often he guides the camera man to where, for example, he thinks it should be either zoomed in or out, or taken from another angle to best show off dance moves. He also mentioned in his talk with RM that he was working on the choreo so we assume that he either created the choreo or was heavily involved in creating it with others. It's actually increadible to see such a naturally talented, diverse and impressive dancer, who could have let all his accolades get to his head, still be so humble and appreciate guidance and input from others. Jimin mentioned he did the choreo on MV WHO and wanted a musical type of MV on his several conversations and behind the scene on Bangtan TV contents ..
This is the first time that Jimin choreographed himself, I’m shocked that you mentioned Leann Rimes, she was the first thing I recalled the vibe of the music (theme from Coyote Ugly)
recommend also, from Jimin’s first album FACE, aside from must to react to: ❣Jimin “Set Me Free Pt,2” MV, dance practice, as well as Mcountdown live stage, also from FACE his song Jimin “Like Crazy”, that was #1 on Billboard Hot 100. MV doesn’t have choreo, but there is an equally amazing dance practice for the Live stage, either a stage mix or also safe to see live stage at Inkigayo. There is also live performances for both “Like Crazy” from March of last yr & performance for “Who” on Jimmy Fallon tonight show which aired July 22. Fallon even was at the Bellian studio the end of last yr to be the first to hear “Who” just when it was finished. Fallon has been close with BTS having them on his show numerous times, and is extra close with Jimin! He just happened to be in the building the same time! It’s even shown in the Jimin “MUSE’ Recording Behind that I believe you’d find interesting & enjoy to watch since you like Jon Bellian, having an interest in music he produces. I believe you’d enjoy as well as find them all, all my recommendations, quite enjoyable, especially SMFP2 amazingly stunning to watch and I’d love to hear your reaction! 👍🙏❤🔥🔥😅🥰🌟💫✨

imagine a full english song like this, very popular and high up there in the charts not being nominated for a grammy for dance performance in a mv. neither was jk with standing next to you. they've all gone insane or senile. also, did you notice him referencing songs of the other tannies? the billboard, the name of the record shop etc
It wasn't 5 male dancers in the choreo video it was 6 and with Jimin makes 7, always a reference to BTS...7 members.. this is important...it is symbolic. It's just that the 6 guys and 6 girls switch in and out throughout. Jimin is absolutely iconic!
9:24 The eyes in the video that drops down tells you WHO JIMINs partner is and has been for 10 years ... take a close look and you'll figure it out WHO it is .. JIMIN did ALL the choreography himself 19:21 JIMIN is not lonely, only when his partner leaves for separate work ...

I’m definitely a Stay however because I love Stray Kids and I thought to give BTS a chance. I was not really impressed but they did have some really good song. I wish them luck and hope they keep their Army happy and satisfied. Good Luck BTS. ✊🏽
I know this has been commented a few times but you really need to see Set Me Free pt. 2 by Jimin dance practice. Even if you watch it on your own - I feel like you’d really appreciate it. It fits him the best out of all his solo choreos. Really shows how emotive he is with his body.

I bet all of those are incredible!! I have a feeling those will come across my schedule in the future! Excited to have you a part and along for the ride!
I agree that it looks like Keone/Mari choreo, and I have seen the video where Jimin says he was "working on the choreography" but as it is a translation I feel like his words can mean both creating the chore as well as working on learning the choreo. I can't find actual credits in the choreo so I personally would wait before believing who the choreographer is. Personally I'm inclined to believe that if any company had an idol that could choreograph whole dances they'd make it extremely clear to profit from it. Idols have been known to contribute moves and small sections which might be the case here, but yeah I think right now claiming he made the choreo himself is premature based on one ambiguous comment.
I think the performance directors listed on Instagram four or five people, including Jimin, both for Who and SGMB. A couple were from the Peacemaker dance crew, just like many of the dancers here (they use pcm_ as marker on their social media presence)
Isn't it odd to spoil whole mv, choreo and sond and watch dance practice first? Even if it was practice for live performance at Jimmy Fellon show instead
@@verhoffenspb I know it’s a rather odd approach but as a choreographer and analyst my priority when I watch content is for the dance so my initial reaction is the combination of the dance and music!
Thoroughly disappointed. I look forward to choreographers providing feedback, but you failed to do basic research which would have answered many of your questions and perhaps given JIMIN the credit he is due, instead of it was nice. Please!! Also, strongly suggest you pick up from where you stopped watching BTS. IMHO, they’ll blow you and have set the bar for the rest of industry to follow.
Hey there! Thank you for providing feedback! Firstly, my apologies for having an underwhelming analysis for this track and choreography. Normally I am very hesitant to watch groups that I haven't marathoned from debut to now in the event a situation like this occurs, where I am missing context that I could have discovered prior to viewing this, so for that I am once again sorry! I know the earlier eras compared to now are very different in movement quality, sound, production, and artistry both as a group and as soloists and it's hard to appreciate the shifts and growth when the journey is missing pieces. If there were more disappointing elements outside of not knowing it was Jimin who was the choreographer within the analysis, I would like to know the specifics so I can better improve on a fundamental level in terms of itemizing the styles and technical elements of the choreography. As a dance analyst, I try to focus on the staging, musicality, choreography, textures, style influences, etc ESPECIALLY when I know I am missing context such as who the choreographer is. I have a Patreon request scheduled for later this month to the 2019 MMA performance with 'Dionysus'. I have seen this once without an analytical filter when it came out originally, so I would like to be a better steward and know as much going in that would be helpful to contribute to the request. Thank you for taking the time to watch and I look forward to hearing back!
@@jess_holyfield I am wholeheartedly impressed that you took the time to respond back when you could have easily deleted or ignored my response. I actually had a longer explanation written to which I ultimately deleted figuring you’d ignore it. There are definite key takeaways that I think you’d realize if you go back and watch your video from the beginning which will further develop your analytical skills in future video reviews whether it’s BTS or any other dancer. I think perhaps this may warrant a longer conversation than YT permits. If you’d like to talk further, let me know.
Thank you for responding! I would love to continue this conversation because at the end of the day, these are meant to be helpful in allowing fans, artists, and dance enthusiasts who know and don't know groups and soloists, some form of understanding as to the beauty of what they bring within choreography and movement quality! This is wonderful! I love it when artists get to receive encouragement and success for their hard work! This was such a great song and I LOVED the staging for this! Clean, crisp, readable, and well thought out! Excited to see more in the future! I feel that is definitely going to happen soon!
Jimin mentioned he did the choreo on MV WHO and wanted a musical type of MV on his several conversations and behind the scene on Bangtan TV contents ..
@@loryjavellana6080 I’ve that he was the one who did it! Looks fantastic!
@@jess_holyfield Glad he was able make his vision come true..

Thank you for taking the time to watch with me!
Like Crazy, Set Me Free pt2 dance practice and Stuck with you cover next pls.
I hope to be able to take a look at those in the future for sure! They sound awesome!
Jimin did alot of the choreography creation for this song.
That's what I learned!! So proud!
Watch Set me free pt 2!!!! Sooo good!
I hope to be able to watch more soon! Thank you for the recommendation!
This is the first time that Jimin choreographed himself, I’m shocked that you mentioned Leann Rimes, she was the first thing I recalled the vibe of the music (theme from Coyote Ugly)
Can't Fight the Moonlight was SUCH a good track and that's what kept popping into my brain for this hahah! Love it! Jimin did so well !!
Jimin has a live version prerecorded for Jimmy Fallon 😊
I bet the quality was TOP TIER

recommend also, from Jimin’s first album FACE, aside from must to react to: ❣Jimin “Set Me Free Pt,2” MV, dance practice, as well as Mcountdown live stage, also from FACE his song Jimin “Like Crazy”, that was #1 on Billboard Hot 100. 👍🙏❤🔥🔥😅🥰🌟💫✨
I saw a short in reference to Jon Bellion that Jimmy Fallon was in their studio! LOVED that! I may need to watch the MUSE behind for the collab interaction as well! If not now, sometime in the future I am sure!
Yes pls react to Set Me Free pt2. I love professional dancers loving jimin’s work.
Jimin did the choreo for this song himself..

i enjoyed your comments with the choreo and it was fast talking but very much understandable and you choose basic words so easy to catch up..nice..well be watching more of you video
Thank you so much for your positive feedback! I have learned that when I get really excited about watching something I tend to speed up! I can try to be more mindful of this in the future!
imagine a full english song like this, very popular and high up there in the charts not being nominated for a grammy for dance performance in a mv.
neither was jk with standing next to you.
they've all gone insane or senile.
also, did you notice him referencing songs of the other tannies? the billboard, the name of the record shop etc
It wasn't 5 male dancers in the choreo video it was 6 and with Jimin makes 7, always a reference to BTS...7 members.. this is important...it is symbolic. It's just that the 6 guys and 6 girls switch in and out throughout. Jimin is absolutely iconic!
My apologies for not catching that! I will do my best to catch that in the future!
I also noticed the drop to 5 Backup Males on the Dance Battle/Paired Segment 😸 @@jess_holyfield
I have never listened to K-Pop I heard Lalalalala and decided to list to their music and fell in love with Stray Kids. I’m definitely a Stay however because I love Stray Kids and I thought to give BTS a chance. I was not really impressed but they did have some really good song.
I listen to listen to Jimin and the song Who and it was outstanding the choreography was great.
I will always be a Stay but I can understand BTS’s Army.

I hope to be able to do a marathon of BTS entire discography so I can truly appreciate the movement quality progression to where he is today!
One and only jimin can do this love this mv so much ❤❤❤

nope! I was out of the kpop scene at that time. Haven't seen any of BTS work or affiliated since they started the enlistments. Excited to hopefully look at more in the future!
@@jess_holyfield th8s was last year Jimins other album release, Face( Sienna did choreo for Set Me Free Pt 2) where are you in the s.East? I'm on the coast in NC.😊 have a great wknd!
@@susank.548 - Sienna was ‘involved’ in some of the choreography, for Set Me Free Pt.2, but there was another main choreographer, as well as Jimin himself offering suggestions & ideas. @abbiea1237 this she can look into if she wants...I was being general about mentioning Sienna because the reactor mentioned her name...and I wanted to provide a board she could jump off of to maybe watch more choreography from the boys( esp the dance practice). But she doesn't seem too interested, really,so I kept it a bit vague. Don't come after me like I'm a new ARMY, or a baby. In actuality, we’re of the same mind, because I too, suggested to watch Jimin’s “Set Me Free Pt,2 also mentioning Sienna! But since this is someone who knows choreography, as well as is familiar with choreographers who have done choreography in the Kpop industry or who’ve created for Kpop, I though it might be better, more beneficial for her to know in more detail. My apologies once again if by doing so it came off the wrong way. That was not my intention. Just thought she might be interested in all names involved. urge you to also react to: ❣Jimin “Set Me Free Pt.2” MV, th-cam.com/video/UaywgAqcLxI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=N3h-VKadt1wUklfq (turn on cc for subtitles). Jimin’s solo song that was a prerelease from his 1st album FACE! Just like SGMB is the prerelease for his 2nd album MUSE that dropped on July 19. Jimin wrote the lyrics, composed the melody & helped produce, just like most all his songs, also has beyond amazing spectacular choreography, that Jimin himself was involved in, as well as set design for MV. Would also love for you to see dance practice, also afterwards, ❣Jimin “Set Me Free Pt.2” live stage at Mcountdown, or stage mix by idol studio, if not able to react to full ver live), after you react to the must see MV,.👍❤🔥😍🔥🔥
Thank you for this perspective! 100% agree with you and is a great encouragement for me!

My email is in my bio on my channel if you would like to send me a personal message directly, but I don't mind the replies here to further the conversation!
