He did all of those small movies because he had major tax problems so he just had to work all the time. He never got pushed out or got in trouble or anything.
I know this has nothing to do with long legs but I just want to thank you guys for helping me through a tough time. My girlfriend just lost her good job and I’m working but my job is not nearly as good as hers. She got another job but it was a big pay cut because it’s been a struggle to find another remotely close to what she had before. She went to 3rd shift to help with childcare because daycares are full and it was struggle for her which is understandable. She can’t get unemployment because her union is fighting for her but that could take months to get a result. We are struggling. Bills are adding up . Worrying is an understatement. You guys have helped me just forget for a time being and laugh and I just want to thank you guys a lot. I just recently starting watching this podcast and now I am always looking for new ones to watch. You guys are great. ❤
Never saw it, but there was also a lower budget trilogy of these movies before with Kirk Cameron in the Nicolas Cage role. I have to imagine those movies are actually worse.
Nic Cage always does a great job even in lower budget films. If he's in it he's doing the work. The film might not be the best but he's probably the best thing in it just an opinion.
I got to shake Nicolas Cages hand when he did a IFC Independent Films show in Long Beach or some beach in Cali. Nic was the only one who came to shake hands and take pics with every person. Great guy. Also I thought they were talking about Knowing for the beginning movie
If you think this version of "left behind:" was bad, you should see the original. I was the Gaffer on it in 2002. Kirk Cameron starred...In particular there was a scene on a plane before the Revelation....once it happened it was funny and sad at the same time to see that only the people of color were left on the plane while the while people were magically transported to heaven and in their seats were their clothes....I had no idea they made a sequel....ugh.
Left behind is a work of pure unadulterated genius. How it ever left the editing suite is a mystery that should be studied in university for the next 3 ages. It’s other worldly bad… so much in fact, I almost think it might be the best work of art EVER. It’s wild.
The best clips are the ones where they talk about whatever the title says for two seconds then talk about something else and have no substance to the conversation you clicked on it for. 🙄
4:58 - Bobby, wonder if you ever watched the show Last Man on Earth, this fulfills some of this fantasy lol.. they did a great job making it feel real.
I would rather watch left behind then borderlands. Borderlands was one of the worst movies of all time. It was worth at least seeing Bobby in there tho.
Nick Cage owed on taxes, love him Longlegs is 7 or silence of the lambs meets supernatural, which then stops and says hello to Annabelle its too much for its own good. Maika Monroe and the rest of the casts performances make it worth the watch. Left Behind was a book that heavily borrowed from the superior stand from Stephen King with a faith based twist Hollywood tried it after Kirk Cameron, Mike Seaver couldnt get it going on a cheap budget caught on with fans and had a some low budget sequels, but never could find an audience leading hollywood to try and since it was faith based which equals what party you rep and what religion you believe in, it was doomed from the start.
While people are welcome to their own opinions, I don’t trust anyone who calls Longlegs a great movie. My complaints are different from a lot of other people’s issues I’ve seen online. I didn’t find Nic Cage’s performance funny or his makeup distracting. He was creepy, kinda like Tiny Tim, which are characters I find more entertaining than a lot of horror villains and final girls. Some of his dialogue did get old but I think that was just the script. It was a really bad script. The atmosphere was just ok. The directing did feel lazy at times and the set design was also bare. The shots would linger but then really have nothing to do with anything. So they kept doing contrived horror techniques that didn’t match the movie. The acting outside of Cage and the mother (for only a scene or 2, not throughout) was terrible. Idk if the main girl is a good actress elsewhere but her performance was underwhelming and the character was so unbelievable in that role. 4/10
Agreed almost 100%. Although I don’t think the main girls acting was bad, I think the script was just so horrible she got made to look bad. She played the autistic FBI agent role pretty well. The problem was between her, nick cage, her mom and that girl in the asylum there was too many “weird” characters and not enough normal dialogue so the whole time I just kept thinking “no one fucking talks like this” Cage did great, A few parts I did chuckle at but it was unsettling at the same time.
@@DefeatLust definitely watch it once it comes to some streaming platform or maybe rent it, but definitely not worth a movie ticket. Not terrible but not good.
@@DefeatLustI thought it was really good! Really suspenseful and scary in the first half, then the mystery takes over the story in the second half. I thought it was really well executed and worth seeing in theaters
@@DefeatLustgo see it dude, I was skeptical at first because of what people said but I loved it. Also the same people that shit on it were the ones who gave the new Deadpool 5 stars when that was one of the worst movies I’ve seen in recent memory so..
Clicked to hear their opinions on Longlegs but instead heard nothing but disrespecting Christians. Jesus loves you even if you don’t believe in him. So sad
Longlegs was awful. The killer lives in the mother of the main detective/protagonist's basement and uses magic metal balls within dolls to make fathers kill their families. The plot is like Annabelle via discount Ari Aster. Hilariously dumb.
Who titled this fucking video?
11:32 ya know what? This ain’t about Longlegs

Mandy was cool
@@InTheBannerOvShadows It was. So was Color Out of Space. That was part of the upswing.
@InTheBannerOvShadows he paid off all the taxes he owed a while ago. That's why he only does stuff that actually interests him now, like Mandy.
He did have issues with spending and saving money if I remember correctly, the guy used to own a copy of Action Comics #1

I enjoyed it, overhyped but entertaining
After seeing Bobby in the new Borderlands movie, I would never argue with him when it comes to labeling movies as “bad
yeah, he actually saw the movie before they even made it.

Left Behind makes me imagine if all Christians got raptured, it would be more like the Snap from Avengers instead of a full-on post apocalyptic chaos

One might imagine it to be a paradise even.

Left behind has better scores on rotten tomatoes than borderlands, the movie Bobby was just in lol

That movie was so satanic towards the end. It wasn't even that it was scary. Just gave me a gross feeling leaving the theatre
Kinda the point
Long Legs scary as hell. So so good!
5:40 great plot to a creepy movie
His uncle is Francis Ford Coppola.
As much as I love Cage, Hollywood is all about nepotism. Especially among guys with small hats and Italians.

So the kirk Cameron movie is racist?
I'm starting to feel like Bobby Lee's "I always wanted to" Might just make a great comedy special, maybe even a movie ?

Nick Cage it’s a movie genre…
My bet is the rapture of those saved by God, would barely be noticed by those left on earth. Maybe it would be like a "lite-traffic day"...

If the rapture happened Spielberg is still here. Prob a lot of people still here. U prob would hardly notice
