I saw The Inner Light immediately after this episode, and jokes outside, it's genuinely one of the most beautiful pieces of television I have genuinely seen.
It's great, as is all of TNG. The first season kind of sucks a bit compared to the others imho, it has old school Star Trek vibes (but it still has loads of great episodes), by season two they find their groove and it gets freaking awesome.
