      What do you think is better for snorkeling? Laguna Beach or Newport? Heading out tomorrow. Lol I appreciate your feedback and your time on explaining things! Keep up the good work!

    Just found your channel - I watched Newport 1 and then this one. I had no idea Newport was that clear. Grew up in Long Beach so no snorkeling there. I go to Laguna or San Diego or Catalina. I have taken boats out of Newport many times, but had no idea what diving the jetty had to offer. Thank you for these.

      @@OceanEarthGreen haha..damn.. the seals are vip's i guess. any tips on ideal surfline conditions? 1-2ft at (?) seconds / low or high tide? im trying to get a clear day at shaws cove

    • @OceanEarthGreen
      @OceanEarthGreen  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@flaviustiberiu442 Ideal is 0 to 2' waves with minimal tide change height, best to go towards end of high tide push. Low tide is usually murky. no wind to 5mph tops. Right now, conditions are bad almost everywhere. not until end of August will they start to get clear again. Lot's of wave energy going on right now great for surfing, not so great for diving.

    A fun, well done video. if I may offer a suggestion, try slowing down some of the underwater shots to make them more cinematic. Not slow motion, just to smooth out the hurried motion. in any case, keep doing what you're doing and enjoy the journey!

    I have a question.. next time you dive a buoy, could you spend a minute or two checking out the anchor and giving us some footage?? I would SERIOUSLY be interested, bro.. if you ever come south to SD and want to catch some fish, or just do a dive in LJ, let me know, I know people who dive down here

    Did you use weight to get under the surface? How much weight would you recommend if so?

    • @OceanEarthGreen
      @OceanEarthGreen  ปีที่แล้ว

      I use one 3 pound weight which is very minimal. It depends what you are doing. When I'm in shallow areas videoing, like 2' to 6' more weight is needed or I just float up to the surface quickly. I prefer the 3 pound because usually I'm in 8' plus depths which minimal weight is needed.
