This game is amazing very simple and gives a feeling of isolation like signal simulator. Also love the fact you can check the ships status and you don’t know what’s what’s until you bring it back. This Game is amazing looking!
this game is one of those types of games that are more fun to watch than play, since it requires you to stop every 5 minutes to grease the wheels or you die of radiation poisoning. if there was a mod to remove the constant time limit the game would actually be fun
The time limit you have is like, a hugely important part of the game. Frustrating or not, having played it im gonna say that removing it would make the game significantly less fun than it is.

When you were on the surface and you had to find a middle ground between being too aggressive and risking taking damage to your mask vs going to slow and burning through your filters, it was good and added a level of tension. But any time where you were doing little more than wandering around and not doing much else, it really like a pain more than anything. So basically 100% of the oxygen mechanic in Exodus.

If you want to get a really high score than sure, the radiation thing seems unfair. But with the stories this game writes with all the variables from how many things you gathered to how much radiation you soaked up, regardless of score the epilouges are interesting

So my character got him first and fucking jetsonned his corpse and cleaned up, got patched up by the AutoDoc4000™ and head on his way typing on the log "Its 100% - 0% now."

Why would you replace a reserve battery with a fission reactor instead of the aux generator? It seems like you misread or didn't understand the terminology with some of equipment, hence the person in chat saying "he doesnt know OMEGALUL." Still great stream dude, entertaining as always.
it looks fun, but the game becomes a fucking slog after half an hour or so of play. You literally need to go to the autodoc every 2 minutes or you die, and this isn't a joke. Radiation also accumulates even if you continuously use the autodoc, so the game is pretty much on a timer. This sucks, because it's counter intuitive to the gameplay. You're encouraged to research and install artifacts onto your drones, but if you want to actually win the game, you just identify your artifacts and leave the planet. Actually making use of the artifacts is never a good idea and generally leads to a game over. I wish radiation was a feature you could disable, then the game would actually be enjoyable and you could spend more time exploring the planet and upgrading your drones.

I love how the player can purchase a spaceship, a rover, and a lot of post-modern, futuristic items and veichles. but the camera is in 240p quality with massive film grain and no color. the rover has no problem having a self-drawing map that perfectly tells you your position. but you have a 1982 radio. the rover has a nuclear generator and can easily leave the atmosphere of the planet and self-calculate how to track on the spaceship. but it has a battery that lasts around 2 minutes of moving forward.
hello, the rover can project color on its video camera and has decent quality. Its the radiation that fucks with the vision camera. Btw the battery is for driving the rover, not recalling it. Plus the rover is fucking big compared to a human, imagine how much it weighs and the battery size. Probally larger then a tesla S Battery. The rovers "nuclear generator" is only a normal generator that is basicly a backup plan. Unless your talking about the alien artifacts. The radio is impressive too, If you send a normal rover, it wont fucking work. you can turn a jammer on but it can still withstand it plus the radiation.

i dont even think if iron lungs technology can even be compared to this. I mean, it can be a theory because if you shot the ship from the rover there will be a statement on the epilouge that says "The (Ship name) was never designed to be a war ship" and in iron lung theres some sort of conflict between 2 space stations. But think about it, in iron lung it says that (maybe) all planets and stars have disapeared and there were space stations and ships contacting each other. But scavanger sv4 still states that there are stars and planets and life.

Though I've never played Signal Simulator, I was more talking about the general deepspace sci-fi feeling than what its actually like to play. This game reminded me of it, so I figured I'd recommend. I've got around 2k hours in Warband alone, and spent a good 30ish hours in Starsector. Can confirm, except the gameplay loop and systems are quite a bit different. I do like Starsector more as a game though, ironically. Lost my key for it D:
