I'm very happy to welcome Mr. Mark Moraghan into the narrating role. As far as UK narrators go, he's a worthy successor to Ringo Starr and Michael Angelis, and as far as US narrators go, he's easily the best one since George Carlin.
He's not Scottish, though it sounded like it. I've listened closer to Moraghan's voice, and his Accent actually turns out to be one I've been familiar with, a similar sort to Sir Topham Hatt in the UK Version: Yorkshire.
He kind of sounds like an older version of Mallardfan62. I'm glad that he wants to follow in the footsteps of Ringo and Michael. He seems to like the show.
It's a shame too much kid's TV is CGI now. I really miss the models and stop motion in other shows. The CGI nowadays is okay but it feels so artificial. Miss the good old times.
I especially liked Mark in "The Grumpy Passenger" with his voice as the complaining man. His annoyed voice going off is hilarious!! I was disappointed when Michael Brandon was no longer the Storyteller for Thomas and doing the voice for Diesel, but I have to say that Mark was an awesome replacement ! He really made laugh and kept me very amused!! I think he did an a great job during the Seasons he narrated for the show.
I'm liking the new narrator now. He is doing a superb job and I think he is a great man to narrate this show :D. New Characters to come? I wonder what they will be like. I guess time will tell :).
(1:48) Recording... FOR A YEAR THIS MONTH? (1:57) 100+ EPISODES?! Not that it's really a bad move with Mr. Moraghan as narrator, but DANG!!! Those figures are mind-boggling! That's sounds like 5+ seasons (discounting specials) by CGI Series records! Wow... Also, isn't it a little sad George Carlin wasn't said once? Either way, this is interesting and enriching to say the least.
not a great Thomas fan, enjoyed it very much when my kids were wee, liked Michael Angelis the best thou Ringo was a close 2nd, wonder what the rev would think of nasty northern accents narrating his stories lol, i'm a Scouser myself so it doesn't bother me, Ringo and Mr Angelis both have lovely sonorous voices with a playful twang which are great for Thomas, it's a pity after Ringo left that they re-voiced it for the states, obviously Ringo is a big draw there, but i bet there wouldn't be many on that side on the Atlantic that could pick out his disembodied voice, let alone tell the difference between him and Michael Angelis.
Actually Rev.W.Awdry accepted Ringo's voice role as storyteller as he said in a TVAM interview that Ringo had done an excellent job in 1984. I think he did the same for Angelis, though there's no sources for it though :P
I agree the CGI is really good, and Mark Moraghan is also the narrator for the US who sounds wonderful since George Carlin

@CuriousUserX90 Mark’s accent is actually Scouse/Liverpudlian.
It would be cool if Mark Moraghan narrated a Madeline project.
YOU, my friend, are a GENIUS!
my dad told my this yesterday thanks for uploading this i have been daring to see this
I love how he's considerate towards us fans by trying to sound like MA and RS.
If we're going to get stuff as good as what we've seen so far, I'm all for it!
1:24 THOMAS: Whoops! Careful, Cranky.
That was an interesting interview to hear.

It's simply... GLORIOUS.
Well, these episodes are pretty much made all at once. That's why it took so long for the writing to change. 100 episodes is about 4 more seasons!

This was on about the UK narrators. The US narrators aren't mentioned in normal UK interviews, I'm afraid.
THEY PLAYED CLASSIC SERIES AUDIO.
Totally agreeable there!
I agree. Good Show Arc Productions
2:35 Pierce Brosnan

New characters? Or new and RETURNING characters?!
1:48 I guess he meant last June. (2012)
"I don't think people like too much change". Tell that to HiT for what they did in series 8.
Mark Moraghan Almost Sounded Like Michael Angelis.
We serve food here, Sir.
Don't forget a new animation studio as well!
Of course :P
3:30 yes yes it has, in TRWS
Who's Duck?????
im sorry i got confused from hearing Ringo with the...OTHER narrator.

Well, only time will tell, really.
What'll ya see Thomas and Friends in The WWII Movie next year
You're kidding right?
He does not sound a bit as he does on the television! Not at all
Some stupid new character they introduced just recently.
