Muay Boran VS Muay Thai

- In 18th century, there are significant changed in Muay Boran and Muay Thai. What changed back then brought confusions for people in later generation.
These information i shared are accessible in general school history books. History of historical places hosting Muay Kardchuek and how Muay Thai were added in to school curriculum.
"Muay Boran" describing older version of Siamese fighting style. It referred to fighting style which have been existing "BEFORE" the "More modern version added in to school curriculum".
With that being said, the known style such as Muay Korat, Muay Lopburi, Muay Chaiya, Muay Thasao, Muay Jerng, etc. is now being referred as "Muay Boran" because it have been existing before school curriculum. Later on the modern school curriculum itself have become an other style of Muay Boran named :Pra Chao Suea Style.
So "Muay Boran" did not reference a fighting style, if references older versions of combative Muay Thai.

ผมชอบวิธีการ present ประวัติศาสตร์ (ที่ไล่ปีตามแผนที่ ศักราช-จีน ต้นเรื่อง)
และตอนท้าย ที่ครู สอนให้เคารพวิถีของแต่ละคน และทุกมวย นะครับ
ผมพอมีประสบการณ์บ้าง (แต่ไม่ได้ขึ้นเวทีนะครับ) มวยทุกมวย มีดี ที่คนฝึกคนนั้นๆ จริงๆครับ
ยอมรับว่า มวยไทยเวที พิสูจน์ได้จริง ว่า เหนือกว่าหลายคู่ชกที่มาจากมวยอื่นๆ แต่ปัจจัยสำคัญ คือ คนฝึกมวยอื่น ที่อุทิศตนในค่ายมวย แบบนักมวยไทย แทบไม่มีนะครับ เช่น พวกคาราเต้ คนเก่งๆ ก็เป็นนักธุรกิจ เรียนสูงๆ จนไม่เอาเวลามาชกเวที / มวยจีน อันนี้ ดราม่า เยอะครับ แต่ผมก็ไม่เคยเจอที่ใช้การงานได้แบบในหนังจีน นะครับ ส่วนมาก แนวกายกรรม (ซึ่งก็ไม่ใช่ไม่ดี แต่มันไม่ใช่ทางต่อสู้ - กายกรรม กระโดดสูง ตีลังกา ไม่ว่าจะเอาไปประกอบ เตะ ต่อย ศอก เข่า พวกนี้ ไว้แสดงหนัง จะดีมากครับ เพราะในการใช้งานจริง ไม่มีโอกาส แน่นอนครับ)
- คนเรียนมวยจีน จำนวนมหาศาล ปรารถนา เป็นพระเอกหนัง อย่างไม่รู้ตัวเอง (ด้วยความสำคัญในใจว่า "กายกรรม" แบบนั้น คือ การต่อสู้จริง) จึงทำให้มีปัญหา ในการประลอง หรือ ขึ้นเวที กับมวยอื่นๆ โดน ยำซะ เละเทะ เลยครับ
- ปัญหา เรื่องการข่มกัน เรื่องมวย เรื่องสำนักไหนดีกว่ากัน มีมาหลายร้อยปี เป็นปัญหาโลกแตก ของวงการนี้ ครับครู
- ผมจึงให้ความสำคัญ กับคำพูดท้ายคลิป vdo นี้ ของครู ว่า "ดีมากๆ" และ ผมเองก็ไม่ค่อยกด subscribed กับ ช่องอื่นๆ มากนัก หากไม่ได้ความรู้ หรือ นำไปสู่ สงคราม (แม้จะด้วย ทาง วาจา) ...
- ผมเอง ศึกษาค้นคว้า หลายมวย รวมทั้งมวยไทย แต่ผมไม่ชอบต่อยมวย เพราะกลัวเจ็บครับ (ผมใจเสาะ)
- ในวงการ ศิลปะการต่อสู้ .. มวยไทย เป็นการใช้งานที่ดีมาก แต่ข้อบกพร่องก็มี ที่ว่า ร่างกายกรำศึกหนัก จะเสื่อมเร็วในตอนแก่
- มวยจีน หากเน้นสุขภาพ กับ สมาธิ นับว่าดีมาก -- แต่หาก แนวกายกรรม ที่เห็นโชว์ตามหนังจีน ไม่ได้เป็น มวยจีน ในทางความจริง
- มวยญี่ปุ่น (นับรวม คาราเต้ ยูโด ยิวยิตสู ไอคิโด ฯลฯ) นับว่า เป็นแนว สมาธิ และ ปรัชญา ที่ดีมาก ส่วนสุขภาพ ก็ครึ่งๆ ระหว่าง มวยจีน กับ มวยไทย
***สังเกตว่า คนแก่ๆ จากมวยจีน / มวยญี่ปุ่น ตามประวัติที่ผมพอเก็บข้อมูลได้ จะป่วยน้อย สุขภาพดี อายุยืน (ในภาพรวม นะครับ) กว่า มวยพละกำลัง แบบมวยไทย
สุดท้ายนี้ ขอบพระคุณ คำอธิบายภาค ภาษาอังกฤษ ที่ดีมากๆ ทั้งในด้านภาษา และจิตวิทยา (การไม่ข่มเหง ไม่เบียดเบียนกัน ระหว่างมวยไทย กับมวยอื่นๆ)
- เพราะว่า ไม่ว่าจะมวยไหน หากข่มเหงกัน มันต้องนำไปสู่สงคราม และในสงครามที่ไม่มีกติกา มวยไทย อาจไม่ใช่คำตอบแห่งชัยชนะ เพราะมันมีการลอบทำร้าย และอาวุธปืน เข้ามาเกี่ยวข้องแน่นอน ครับ (อันนี้ ประสบการณ์ตรง ที่พาเพื่อนรอดรุมกระทืบ มาแล้ว เพียงเพราะความไม่ถ่อมตน ของคนเรียนมวย)

U can use this word to search มวยท่าเสา(thasao) / มวยโคราช(korat) /มวยลพบุรี(lopburi) / มวยเจิง( I don't know how to spell it's style of the ancient Lanna)

Man, I would love to study both of these arts: Muay Boran for techniques and tradition and Muay Thai practical application of said technique in a realistic-as-I'm-willing-to-get combat situation.
The time lapse is really interesting: in school i didn't study any of that (and i assume in the east they don't also study all our wars and how borders changed).
Also, talking about style, do you think it's better to choose the one that's more adapt to my body, or the one that i like the most? Maybe it's a stupid question, but can you blend them? I don't like the idea to be bound to a specifical one, but thet always told me it's better to stick to one thing at a time and master it, as opposed to try to learn a bit of a lot of different things

My sensei says "styles don't fight fights, people fight fights, and the one who uses at its best the abilities acquired, is the one who wins". So,I agree with yiu, no martial art nor style comes with a certificate of invincibility for the practioners.
And also please make a vdo on complete vdo series in muay boran from basic to advance all the punch and kicks and strikes in one vdo and joint locks throwing techniques and forms in another vdo please make such vdo

Thank you for this interesting video. Gambling is the main driving force with MT today, I think. I'm a karate based fighter from back in the day. Muay Boran is closer to what I do when you see karate today versus back in the day. Over the years, if I see a technique, and I can to it, I add it to my skill set. If I was a dog, I would be a mongrel. lol

Yoga along with Hinduism and Buddhism originate in India. The connection is that Kalaripayattu (the oldest known form of martial art) originated in India. As the religions spread unto the rest of Asia, so did the fighting style and other arts started to develop (namely Chinese Gung-Fu and Japanese Jujutsu respectively).

@@alantinoalantonio this is correct and as you can see on the map there was a direct connection between SouthEast Asia and South Asia. Also The Chola dynasty had a direct influence on southeast asia Including Burma Cambodia Siam Indonesia and so on. Kalaripayattu definitely was involved and so was culture religion and so on. In Muay Thai Boran one of the styles which is Muay Lopburi is based off of Hanuman the Hindu deity. By the way I love and practice Muay Thai now

The Map in the intro Maybe just a part of southeast asia. More like indo China. Southeast asia had the Philippines , Indonesia and Malaysia. They were not being put in the map but you called it south east asia.
