    Ingredients for 40 cakes:
    2 cup rice flour
    8 Tbsp tapioca starch
    2/3 cup + 1 Tbsp sugar
    1/2 tsp kosher salt
    2 tsp quick rise yeast/Instant yeast
    1/2 cup lukewarm water
    1 can coconut cream or coconut milk (400 ml)
    1/8 tsp vanilla extracts
    1/8 tsp pandan extracts + 2 drops of yellow food coloring
    *some vegetable oil for brushing the cake molds.
    * VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE: MAKE SURE ALL YOUR MEASUREMENTS ARE ACCURATE. Fluff up the flour, use spoon to scoop flour in to your dry cup measure then scrape off the excess flour with a straight edge knife.
    * Please follow my step by step and do not make any changes.

    Nguyên liệu để làm 40 bánh:
    2 cup bột gạo = 240 gr
    8 Mcanh bột năng = 65 gr
    2/3 cup + 1 Mcanh đường = 190 gr
    1/2 tsp = 2 gr muối
    2 mcafe men nở nhanh = 7 gr (quick rise yeast/Instant yeast)
    1/2 cup nước âm ấm = 120/125ml
    1 lon nước dừa 400ml
    1/8 mcafe vani
    1/8 mcafe tinh dầu lá dứa + 2 giọt màu vàng
    * Dùng ít dầu ăn để thoa khuôn.
    * Xin lưu ý khi đong đo nguyên liệu phải thật chính xác.
    * Khi đong bột là các bạn phải xới bột lên, dùng muỗng múc bột cho vô cup, rồi gạt mặt. Bột năng cũng vậy, tất cả công thức đong bột đều phải gạt mặt hết.
    * Xin đừng thay đổi nguyên liệu cũng như cách hướng dẫn.
    * Để bột nghỉ từ 1-1/2 đến 2 giờ tuỳ theo nhiệt độ khí hậu nơi bạn ở. Mình ủ bột 2 giờ và nhiệt độ phòng là 70°F .
    * Các bạn nhớ phải canh khoảng 5 - 7 phút xả hơi và nếu thấy bánh nở đều và bánh trong là bánh chín. Không được hấp quá lâu vì bánh sẽ bị xẹp, ăn mất ngon.

    Chi Beth, I made it and everything looked good till I steamed it, it did not fluff up. I didn’t have the molds you have, so I improvised with ramekin bowls with about quarter in of batter. I steamed it for 9 minutes, but it never fluffed up

      Hi Jessica, your cake didn't puff maybe because of the ramekin bowls are too thick compare to the
      moulds that I used which are very thin and heat up a lots quicker You need your moulds to be very hot before adding the cake batter, I hope that help.

    Hi Beth. I was so lucky to have run into your videos. I love how you are so neat and organized. My mom and I made the banh bo hap and it's so amazing. The banh is so soft with lovely fragrant. We watched many videos on how to banh bo hap but you made it so easy and simple. We used disposable aluminum cake molds but I would like reusable kind...where do you get your cake molds? Thank you so much for the great recipes. We will definitely try your other recipes soon.

    Cảm ơn chị đã share công thức bánh bò hấp nhé.
    Chị cho em hỏi thăm. Em có mua một số khuôn hấp bánh bò ở Bed&Bathbeyond, em mới dùng 1 lần mà không biết sao khuôn lại bị ố sét, mặc dù sau khi rửa em có để cho khô ráo mới cất đi. Em thấy khuôn của chị trắng đẹp. Chị có cách nào giúp em với ạ.
    Cảm ơn chị nhiều lắm. Em ở Boston, hy vọng có dịp đi PA thăm chị, vì em cũng có bà con ở đó. 😊

      Hi Quyen, khuôn mình mua ở VN :-) Mình nghĩ khuôn ố sét thì mang ra tiệm đó đổi lại hay trả lại, chứ đùng cố xài. Vậy hả có người quen ở PA? trái đất tròn sẽ có ngày gặp há, hihi :-)

      Quyen Tran , có phải bạn mua khuôn bằng nhôm phải kg ? Rửa sạch và lau thật khô mới kg bi sét , minh cũng bi như bạn phải vứt bỏ , sau nay làm sau minh rửa sạch cho vào oven làm khô

    Cam on co rat nhieu, da day cho moi nguoi va con duoc nhieu mon an ngon. Neu co' dip co day mon kho bo (beef jerky) ma kieu vn nha co. Chuc co nhieu suc khoe.

    Sao bạn giỏi thế . . Món bánh bò cả nhà mình rát thích , nhưng làm lần nào cũng bị thất bại cả , hu hu . Mình sẽ làm giống như Bạn hướng dẫn , mong rằng thành công lần đầu .

      +Nuoc May Bạn sẽ thành công! Nhớ đong, đo nguyên liệu thật chính xác và coi cách mình làm vài lần cho kỹ. Bánh bò dai, xốp và rất béo. Ngon lắm. :-)

    Thanks you Beth for the recipe. My family love them a lot and requires every week but the last try it fail totally. The cake didn't rise with the little doom, not spongy. The only change i did was using a scale to weight my ingredients (Vietnamese ingredients section ) and steam over medium -high heat.
    What is the correct temperature to steam this cake?

      Chị ơi, bánh bị làm sao chị nói rỏ để em biết.
      Bánh bò này chị phải dùng đúng MEN NỞ NHANH nhé ( rapid raise yeast, instant rise yeast ) Công thức và cách làm em đã chia sẻ đúng 100%. Cân lượng phải chính xác và thời gian ủ bột cũng rất quang trọng. Chị coi kỹ lại và làm lại nhé!

    E oi. bánh này nếu nướng thì ổn không? nhiệt độ thế nào? nếu mình muốn cho nước cốt lá dứa thì chia nguyên liệu thế nào? nếu thay nước ấm là nước dừa ấm thì ổn không vì chị thích béo nhiều. thanks em for your sharing

    Cho chi hỏi lại chút coconut milk hay cream vây em ? Hấp lửa mạnh hay vừa vừa thôi .Cám ơn em .

      +Dung Nguyen Trong video này em xài coconut cream nhưng xài coconut milk cũng được chị. Hấp bánh nước phải thật sôi nhe chị. Không nên ủ bột quá lâu và không nên hấp bánh quá lâu. Chúc chị thành công!

      Mình ủ bột 2 giờ, nhưng còn tùy vào thời tiết khí hậu nơi bạn ở. Nếu thời tiết nóng ẩm thì không cần phải chờ đến 2 giờ đâu. Chúc bạn thành công!
