Arthur Treacher's was an occasional special treat for our family, when I was growing up in Chicago. The food was premium quality, especially for a chain restaurant.
The one in Garfield Heights is about 15 minutes away from me, but not nearly as nice inside as this Cuyahoga Falls one. Will have to check it out someday! Thanks for showing it.
Goo and Matt, I great adventure would be to head out West to Bend OR. to the only Blockbuster movie rental store left in the USA. Once you get inside it may be a tad bit anticlimactic, but the trip there would be all anticipation. lol You could also head to Astoria OR. to visit the Goonies house and look for the lost treasure. I have always wanted to visit the Northwest and have not made it up to those parts yet. I am sure it is beautiful!! Take care.
Never heard of this restaurant as we had Long John Silver growing up in Nebraska. Use to have a Bonanza steakhouse restaurant in town too. Guess I need a vacation to see family so I can at least get a Runza, lol.
interesting. how do they maintain the menu and have all of those displays? Its funny I just imagine some abandoned corporate office with like 4 people that show up to work in a leaky conference room. All that kids meal was only 5 bucks? and they have a custom ship and plastic cup they give you? do they just have a warehouse full of surplus stuff or something? mind blowing.
They had more then one, but the labor crisis after Covid had them consolidate to the last one in Cuyahoga Falls. They survived though and are now opening more. There is even a plan to expand throughout Ohio.
Its not as good as it was in the 70's. The fish is much smaller and the prices are higher of course. Somthing going on with the oil too. Just not as tasty as back in the day
I loved Arthur Treacher as a kid. I even think they had the boat. Brought back some memories
I believe someone said the boats recently made a comeback!

Agreed. We never mind waiting because we know it’s going to be fresh!
Loved Arthur Treacher's growing up outside of Indianapolis. Can't go wrong with fried fish & chips! Thanks Goo & Mama Goo.
Thanks Goo! It always fun to see you!🙂
We have never heard of this restaurant! The fish looked so good for a fast food chain! Great video as always. Thanks for bringing us back to Ohio!!
We had a drive-thru Arthur Treacher’s briefly in my town here in California and the shrimp and hush puppies were sooooo good. Great video!
We’d love to see them make a resurgence! They’re one place that does it right

Our son lives in Cuyahoga Falls so I was hoping he'd walk in lol
It’s one place we always visit when in ohio. Maybe we’ll run into him next time!
