Beautiful. Love the riding on the backs of parents. Not too delighted that in same area as adult mutes although they seem just curious and not challenging maybe because it seems they have no cygnets amongst them.
It's so cute to watch them, isn't it! Since black swans aren't actually native to the UK I wasn't too concerned about the impact the mute swans would have on the black ones. In the area I was filming the mute swans tend to breed further up the river and then travel back to this spot after they've finished breeding. Most of the ones you see in this video are actually newly grown cygnets that have only just turned fully white, with a couple being older swans that failed to breed or keep this year's cygnets alive.

black swans are also much easier to photograph on a sunny day
