Everybody in here blaming you for white's death, when the man lost 15 troops on a 2. Pete, why didn't you help him get better dice?!
And then acting like you don't have eyes and miss purple wanting you to open his cap from your side. You were allied with yellow, turn order meant that if you opened up purple's cap before yellow was in position, yellow could view that as an attack on them and retaliate. And if you're in a weak position, what's to stop purple from just pivoting to take out his actual problem? The right solution to stay neutral was to wait until yellow took Italy and you had no choice but to open purple's cap if you wanted a card, so that yellow didn't view that as a threat on your part.
I think some of your commenters might not play Risk, Pete.
Oh they play.
They're just not top players. Which is a big part of why they're watching the show, to learn. This game will be a great opportunity for many people to level up their play.
I would disagree sadly I think things where missed despite Pete being better than most of us purple would have gone in a lot earlier and yellow was never opening purple he would have hit Pete outright or more purple territories but open a cap not likely it’s a matter of timing and observation my friend no disrespect to Pete but the negotiation setting as you say are to maximise communication and some different styles were used and missed
@@TheKillPeteStrategy please read below comment mate
I also understand about purple pivoting but that could have happened even if yellow didn’t break its always possible and yellow seeing it as an attack he breaks Pete, pete then cleans up his position and purple hits yellow then Pete kills who ever he wants he was the strongest in the game he is good enough to do what he wanted and pick who ever side he wanted
@@onwardsupwards4483 Pete almost certainly saw that he could open Purple's cap, but didn't think it was worth doing earlier. He even says this in other replies. It's rather inconceivable that he didn't see it.
However, he didn't mention it much in his commentary, even when he does open it. So he probably thought it was obviously not a big deal. Just like, don't give cap cards if you don't need to.
In his commentary he mentioned that there was no reason for him to act since he was generating the most, so I guess there was also no reason to analyse all the minutiae of what he could do if he were to act.
I think purple wanted you to open his cap to hit yellow, hence the “attack my territory if you need to” emotes.
Yes I think that as well
Thought so too
100%
He was even highlighting the territory to attack
Agreed
Pete missing Purple's intention for Pete to open the London cap at 32:00 is brutal to watch as a post game spectator.
@@Penguirrel even takes orient so Pete has no choice but to open 😅
Either that or to attack yellow off his cap through purple territory.
Not sure which of the 2 he meant but he sure didn't want to trade in orient 🤣
Was just thinking the same thing lol
insanely painful to watch lmao
Exactly what I was getting as well when purple says attack my territory
32:50 Pete I think purple was indicating that you attack their territory to open their capital to yellow!
Purple was highlighting the territory he wanted you to attack and you just ignored it lol
In this game - White backs Pete all the way, but Pete won't do his part; then blames White when the alliance falls apart. "I would have backed you NEXT turn!"
Inevitably later - Purple won't trust Pete, because they've seen where that gets you.
Any particular reason you don’t like people to watch the video to find out ?
@@apexvibez1850don’t read comments 😮
@@jackfriend6559 I like to interact with the channel. It’s not my fault , he’s allowed to do this. I’d ban him from my content just for the enjoyment of others .

Oof..."attack my territory" and highlighting the noob corner cap and pete ignores it haha. one of those rare moments where i find myself yelling at my screen fully knowing this was filmed days ago but still hoping pete hears me trying to help.
“yellow indicating that he is not happy with this“ 😂
Purple is desperately asking you to open his cap!! How did you not see that?! He literally highlighted the territory and begged. You're like "No attack Yellow." This is so painful to watch.
Pete, you deserved that from White 100% … you influenced him into a war with purple and never aided…
Poor guy he was asking you to open his cap so he could attack yellow for so long
Curious about this. Who and when?
I kinda see where whites was coming from. You were one turn too late, gave purple the opportunity to break
Yes it's possible to see where it comes from but at the same time it's wrong: Both Pete and white needed a turn to regain troops from the previous breaks, Pete did it and white didn't. Purple's cap was open to both Pete and white while having far more troops, white went for the orient greed and even if they suceeded purple would've done the same: break and cap steal
@@shadowsovereign42 I actually disagree with this. Pete had enough troops that he could comfortably dedicate 10-15 troops (less than his single-turn generation) to breaking purple all the way through to Iceland. That wouldn't have knocked purple out since purple had most of their troops on cap, but it was max 30 troops, which, once purple attacked off their cap once, it's locked and they're basically kneecapped (to use the word Pete used) at that point. Pete had regrown enough that he was at a comfortable stable point. White probably did need another turn to rebuild, which is what I think the orient attempt was meant to be, just he got abysmal dice that ate his entire generation for that turn reducing him to a still-fragile threat that once they came in with a set, purple was able to completely obliterate and reduce to rubble in once fell swoop.
I think all through this game showcases what I imagine Arco understands better than Pete: people smarts. To me it was VERY CLEAR that white was asking Pete what he wanted to do, or asking Pete TO DO something. But Pete played completely as a "non actor" in this. I'm not saying he played incorrectly for his seat, but he played incorrectly if he wanted to work with white. Because, quite frankly, he didn't.
32:10 Purple trying to communicate he wants open his cap from you!
I enjoy watching Pete but he will be your friend and sacrifice you so that he wins. But gets mad when white breaks him when Pete kept saying he would hit purple
This is the perfect example of why Petes strategies work for single anonymous game diplomacy but not long term. Great strategy to win but no one will ever trust you like this in a tournament because they know what you will do.
Oh yeah! You see that in tournament play I behave completely differently re alliances
I think purple wanted you to open his cap at 30m.
Call me crazy, but I think purple was asking you to do something around their cap.. lol
I usually get pete but not this game, white did all the work and then got broken because of pete's passiveness. with the cap in orient white now has enimies all around him, reasonable crashout tbh
ahh and then pete doesnt open purple D:
This video reminded me of the drowning kid meme with the way he ignored purples pleas to open their cap Lmaoo
🤣🤣🤣
@the kill pete strategy @ around 30:00 your talking about purples in-action, would it have been good to open purples cap so that he could use it to punch?
So, that white roll was literally in the 0.02% worst rolls. 2 in 10.000 outcome for this roll or worse!
Thank you captain, I was trying to find an odds calculator for that roll
True random sometimes can be very stupid. I got a 3 attack my 12, and the 3 lost 0 lol
Hey Pete. An idea for communicating with the emotes during alliances. If you need a specific territory opened by an ally (ie: stack or a cap) stick an extra troop on the territory you want attacked and during your attack phase highlight it to attack their adjacent territory, then hit them with the attack my territory of you need to. Then fortify the extra troop away. Just an idea. I do it, but I've never seen anyone else do it.
Come on Pete acknowledge the comments 😂❤
32:00 maybe purple here is telling you to hit through South-Western into Africa
OH MY GOD HOW DID PETE NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT PURPLE WANTED
kept saying trading is dumb but thats not what he was implying
18:33 is why I dont have the stomach to play true random
damn Pete you been climbing Trees???
what the hairstyle called 😂
Minute 22, what the duece man?! The timing of these things
What a twist ending there 22 min later
May sound weird Pete but think your hair here looks the best I've seen 🤙🏻
Pete was high when filming this 😂
What better way to celebrate Phil Collins' Birthday. (Pete with Serious Hits Live! in the background) GL and GG!
I really dont get how people are infiurating with Pete for this game, feels like we are not the same fans😢😮
First with white, he had no need to help him while red was behind him, risking a retalation from him and getting pinsered by him, white and purple. White was only unlucky to lose 15 on 2 and he get mad. If he was calm and using his mind and not his emotions he probably would get 2/3.
Then with Purple... why on earth Pete needed to open the purple capital?!!?? Purple could have betray him cause of turn orders and attacked him with yellow, double teaming him. Plus, Pete was gaining the most troops by round so the more it goes the more he gains and btw, the first 1/2 rounds purple could have attacked italy or africa for free basically and then 2 vs 1ing yellow...
We are playing Risk here folks, there's only one winner not 2 companions together...helping others and risking getting a lower place because of it makes 0 SENSE!!!
I did a 30 minute analysis on this exact thing.
It will come out with next week's game.
This is one of those times where it's a really good thing to be the minority I guess 🤣👍
@@TheKillPeteStrategy It's so nice that you want to make a video about this and to discuss it!
I think it will be nice to see all of your prospective of the thing and why all of these folks are saying u played bad!
Love ya Pete❤️
At 5 mins i think he was just saying if you go for purple, they go for blue.
ugh what a hard game to watch seeing peteman miss
Calling Blue a “nob” took me back. Hadn’t heard that in years.
Nothing better than finding and trusting a full homie, it’s a big reason why I prefer fixed caps so much (that plus I’m not a fan of the “haha now you can’t play game” card block strats of prog caps). Part of the problem inspiration for rigged caps was “what if I had someone who I know will never go bad to me, who won’t even think of a 1v1 because neither of us need to?! Just make it to where we actually do win together vice ever having to go bad to each other or even spend anytime considering it”. From there it was just a matter of figuring out what would make that fair and interesting, and for that, I borrowed some aspects of how among us and other social deduction/deception games work.
That's 3 videos this week showing that the dice are broken. A sixteen can't beat a two? Obviously it is happening way more than the 1 out of 16 chance.
To be honest there Pete, you winning is great but it could've been won in a much slicker fashion. Purple took the initiative for lot of the attacks there so much of the credit should be given to purple. You "didn't have to give it to him" and yet you had to in order to move the game forward. And, you did not back white. So, while that's understandable play, the heart signal for multiple rounds and then not doing anything is just betrayal, nothing proud in that win there. Like, I won't have backed white there either, but I also won't have given him the signal. That's just manipulative. A tactic for sure, just nothing to be proud of like what you've narrated.
Sure you won the game... But not the way I wanted
I think purple saying attack my territory means open his capital to hit yellow
BRO OPEN HIS CAP SO HE CAN ATTACK YELLOW OMG!@
Do you think purple might have asking you to open his cap so he could hit yellow?
Lol I wrote this then saw all the comments. Guess it wasn't just me!
that losing high nunbers of troops happened to me 4 or 5 times in one battle and also happened all day yesterday.
Thank god I HATE videos with the FOG setting
Check out this playlist
They're all the same settings
For those couple comments criticizing how Pete treated the alliance with white, everyone should understand that just because you can request to attack others incessantly and be homies with someone, the whole point is to win, and good players shouldn't compromise their position just to satisfy a temporary alliance that'll mean nothing in the long term (besides honorable players deciding to spare you from lower placements).
As for purple, perhaps Pete got tunnel vision with how purple has to hit yellow and somehow missed opening the cap, but it's also likely he didn't want to open the purple cap which could risk purple ripping into him and he gets 2v1'd into oblivion. In this endgame with fixed cards and the largest bonus, Pete was content to build up his troops before ultimately opening the cap when he was stronger and yellow was relatively weaker.
Perhaps Pete could explain himself better, but that's just off the top of my head. Regardless, a win is a win at the end of the day
To your final point, I imagine that a large part of why people watch me is to learn how to win, so it's a particularly interesting curiosity that they would feel the need to criticise a victory like this one. It says more about their own game than it does mine.
@@TheKillPeteStrategy dubs a dub
@@TheKillPeteStrategy Pete, you have said yourself that the largest part of the game that differentiates an entry-level GM and a top-tier GM is their understanding of relationships and psychology. I think you should pay attention to their criticisms, if for no other reason than to maintain an open mind, and because they are contrarian voices willing to criticize someone they respect and love. In my view, you did nothing at all to help white in their fight against purple. It would not have been impossible to actually take white's side (if that was in fact what you wanted to do) and dedicate some 10 troops to breaking purple and show some loyalty at least two turns before purple broke white and white suicided out. I'm curious if you disagree with their analysis... This isn't the first time that I've thought "oh, Pete isn't understanding anything that X player is saying." Because, in this case, I believe it's clear white WANTED to work with you. He wanted to collaborate and was asking "should we team on yellow or purple?" But you interpreted it as commands from a lesser being. So, seeing as he didn't feel he could work with you, he decided to end his game since there was no reciprocation from you. The question mark emote is the most needed emote in the game.
@@TheKillPeteStrategy the thing is you might consider yourself as one of the best risk players but it will never discredit what 50 people say when they do not agree with you.
@ You misunderstand me here. There is an opportunity for those 50 people to level up their game! That is a really good thing. I'm really looking forward to covering this on the show.
seeing purple want to be opened but pete not opening it was funny- pete didnt have to do anything, hed eventually win by troop count
The g-g-g-g-g-GOATED settings 🎉🎉🎉
love it
I think we can all agree, most of these commenters aren’t seasoned enough to do what it takes to win in FIXED. Completely different ballgame folks. Manipulation, lying, betrayal? Yes of course! This isnt a tournament setting, but a lobby with 1 conquerer, and 5 conquered.
🤣👍
What’s the difference between white and blue’s white flag indicating they quit vs red’s MIA indicating that he quit?
The flag means they used a button in the in-game interface in order to surrender on purpose. The MIA means that they were "offline" for a long enough time or in some other specific way that the game causes their bot to surrender instead of continuing to play their position via the bot.
That might have been the worst play of all time by white lmao. You never betrayed white, and you were a good ally to him all game.
Purple wanted to u open his original cap to attack yellow
This is why i betray first. Too many players like Pete. They alliance and never initiate even if they are clearly the strongest and the most likely to win
New to this. What’s the point or end goal of Capitals
You only have to take all the capitals in order to win. There's no need to take every single territory. Also, attacking a capital has a disadvantage on rolls compared to attacking a regular territory, and also I believe attacking from a capital has advantage compared to attacking from a normal territory.
@ got it! Thanks!
Blue is purely an account to attack no care about rank, will be a steamer but who with idk
I did this with a player one time I neighbor capped him threw the fist bump never showed them any aggression we went one and two even worked together to kill all the other players he had me on troops after the last player so I stepped off cap he didn’t even try to world domination me just threw the fist bump and hit the Caps
First. Spoil block?
I'll up vote ya for the spoil block.
What’s up with Red’s dice 😭
You were so mean to white! Such a sociopath. 😭
17v2 ends with 15 lost. That's why I hate True Random with a passion.
white losing 15 on a 2 😳
Here for the green content
White didn’t get the love back
Pete did you notice it was a different way of communicating white was asking which player to attack by going through every player this also might be your worst show mate love mate but purple needed you to open him to yellow as well he was highlighting it with troop placement man look back it’s hilarious watching this miss understanding
Day 180 of asking Pete to oil up 🤤
