I am trying a pattern adjustment to this today- tip: somewhere around round 4 or 5 or 6, I will skip a bunch of stitches on each side, by crocheting either a 5in (or so) chain, or a 5 in (or so) length of foundation sc stitches, then continuing on with the front or back. Then all subsequent rows will be body. One could then use her repeating row pattern around the armhole to make bell sleeves. The initial stitch multiple she is using here is 6.

Looks like armholes would be like rounds 5-9 or 10 for nice big armholes lol. Mostly putting this here for my own reference when I start making it 😂😂 I’m a noob tho so I don’t know what I’m doing lol
I would get it the shoulder width that I want and then mark off 3-4 v-stitches each side evenly spaced. *Work the next few rows back and forth until its under the armpit as much as you'd like. Fasten off. Attach to back still skipping the 3-4 on the sices. Repeat from * for the back for same amount of rows. Then start back in the round. When done make your sleeves.
If you're like me and find yourself with a twist in that starting chain, I often turn it and work that first row flat. I can then see any twist clearly before joining.
Good idea.
I do that, too, and weave the starting tail into the bottom of the first stitch.
I learned a slick trick:
Make about three chains, remove your hook, put it through the first chain you made, then pick up the newest loop. Continue to make the number of chains you need then just slip the beginning chain off the hook. Voila!

This poncho is very beautiful. I have decided to make this poncho and use yarn that is shinning or a shimmer yarn..
I just finished making this poncho today and it is absolutley adorable. I used an alpaca yarn and I made it a bit shorter than this one, I think I stopped at either 18 or 19 rows. It has a fun boho vibe to it and it's perfct for summer or Florida in winter. LOL
This poncho is beautiful would be nice with arm holes to wear over a tank also

I have gone into complete shut down mode because I have SO many wips... I learned the hard way to complete your project before starting another! But everything is so beautiful!!! Hopefully I get my crojo back soon and finish some stuff! I would be embarrassed to even admit to how many wips I have. I watched this tutorial and it's definitely going on my never ending to do list!
