At any age ..I saw him at the beach club in Brighton..when it was the help song ...my drunk mate James burgess ..ended up chatting to him after for ages and started drawing a paroit
I was there, my first Jesus Lizard show, I'm 16. Unfortunately I'm disabled and have to use a cane, so I tried my best to loose my mind without stumbling on my feet. Really great show, I hope I can see them 100 times over again someday.
Glad you were able to catch the show. You’re f’n lucky & I hope you get the opportunity to catch them 100 more times! You’ve got good taste & give the ancients hope! Go you! 🤙🏻
in evolutionary psychology, using a cane, things that show you are able to live with a small difference, and believe in yourself, makes them like you cuz they want their kids to have that strong of a mind. plus canes are cool and a little bit pimp style, rock that cane with confidence .
I bought a print David Yow had made/drawn (of Top Cat, specifically), and when I ordered it online I included a note reminding him of a time around ‘91/‘92 that we’d met in Chicago and of a chat we’d had, and I doubted very much that he’d remember me - but with the print he included a handwritten note reading “Dan, you ARE a good person! Love, David” … and I still don’t know whether he remembered me, maybe he writes that identical note to everyone, but even more than the print I’ll treasure that note for the rest of my life. :’-)
I remember reading a bad review of Down where the reviewer stated that the music made her feel physically nauseous. David wrote back and said, “Sorry you hated the album so much it made you nauseous. We hope anything we do in the near future does the same. Love David.”
@user-fj1pq8me7wdallas texas halloween show, got my tickets already. been waiting for what feels like a lifetime to see the jesus lizard. got to see the scratch acid reunion in 2012 though.
The "Old man stumble" that Yow perfected in his 20s is finally paying off.
This comment is also paying off.
It’s very aptly put.

At the Garden Grove show he spent at least half the show crowd surfing. I couldn't believe that was actually a 63yo man.
About time.
Bill Murray meets Mark E Smith. I absolutely can’t wait to see them again. Still the best bass sound ever. Ever.
EVER.
Ive seen them every time i can since i was 18. I'm 50 now and can't wait to see them this time around!

What kind of guitar is Duane using here?
Les Paul
@@tremoo5987 I don’t think so, very different headstock and body shape
@@tremoo5987brother what lmao
Looks like an Ernie Ball music man guitar but it’s hard to tell for sure.
Possibly his own model? I saw him talking about those on some interview.
What guitar is that ??
He’s been playing aluminum guitars lately from the creatively-named Electrical Guitar Company, but I can’t tell whether this is one of them.
Terrible lighting. WTF?!
TJL still rules!!!!
Who is this a cover of?
This is the Jesus Lizard covering the Jesus Lizard’s new hit song “Hide and Seek” live for the very first time. Neat.
