second trimester Q&A | will i breastfeed, do i feel lonely, birth plan, best and worst bits

In regards to feeding, if breastfeeding is really important to you, I’d really recommend not introducing bottles for the first 4-6 weeks. The reason being, bottles are much easier for babies to get milk from, so it’s likely baby will then get a preference for that and could start rejecting the breast or have trouble latching. This is what happened with my daughter and no matter what we did she stopped completely at 3 months. Its best to establish breastfeeding first if you can and if that’s important to you xxx

I massively agree with this. I breast fed my little boy for 18 months. There are so many other ways for dad’s partners, family members to ‘bond’ with baby x
